blackhill reserve

We had been told this was a lovely walk and it was. We went over the top through the huge boulders. The view from the top was so peaceful. Then we went down the otherside and around the base. It was a good 2.5 hour stint but the tracks were good and not too steep. If you are quiet you can see heaps of birds. We also saw kangaroos, a wallaby and an Echidna!

Fascinating geological "find" which we stumbled upon in trying to seek out a local winery. The biggest boulders we've ever seen with several walks to choose from & good views from the top. Early evening saw loads of kangaroos emerging onto neighbouring fields to graze.

This is Kyneton's Hanging Rock, a fun place to visit, very well maintained by a volunteer group. We enjoy the views, especially at sunset. We like the ridge walk which takes around 1 hour to complete.

Several hiking paths but we went up and over the top of the hill to see the views. We especially enjoyed climbing around on the huge boulders.

Great for climbing through some big rocks and through the bush.You may see birds or other fauna. Several trails to follow - long and short.

We already enjoyed the after at blackhill park. The landscape is beautiful, it is quiet and peaceful and the view is terrific. It is not as known as hanging rock but it is as good.
