Co-located with The Milawa Cheese Factory, is Muse Gallery. I found the art both interesting and amusing, but a bit expensive. It's amazing what some artists can come up with using a welder and some odd bits and pieces. Worth a look.
Not as good as we recalled, but still well worth a visit. Some of the sculpture is great and all is interesting
Located conveniently next to the cheese factory is this interesting gallery. It has a selection of local art and if you are in the area, you should stop to look through. There is artwork in the courtyard area outside that will draw you in. :) You also have the opportunity to purchase any of the gallery work on display.
A small gallery, but a real gem. Every time we visit we come across some lovely items. Keith has the perfect presence - in the background ready to help, discuss, advise. We go to the factory to buy local produce, especially cheese, but we always visit the gallery because we know we will see art that is accessible, affordable and high quality and which catches our eye. Woodcuts, prints, oils, water colours, sculpture, pottery, brooches and jewelry and of course the amazing metal sculptures outside - its all good.
Its a small gallery but shows a diverse range of arts and crafts, always worth a visit. Its position next to the Cheese Factory and Bakery makes it a broader experience and there is also a cellar door at the same complex. Easy to spend an afternoon sampling all the visual and culinary delights on offer
Great stuff in this gallery with an owner with a discerning and educated eye. He has an interesting collection with some superb sculpture from re-purposed metal.
This gallery doesnt pretend to be a gallery, selling soaps or tea towels like some you may see in the northeast. It has intriguing art work and pieces that are stand alone works. Its refreshing that the owner is neither pushy or aloof - its obvious he enjoys what he displays since he seems to just love to chat about it all.So once you have tasted the fine cheese around the corner and enjoyed the lovely wines keep walking through to Muse. And dont let your friends do like mine: buy the piece you were looking at for far too long!
Small but with some really interesting and attractive displays - the huge metal sculpture at the front of Bwindi is quite the introduction and draw card. Keith is knowledgeable and friendly and happy to provide information. Was particularly taken with the works by Leon Pericles - ask to see those that aren't on display as well.
Great variety of beautiful and versatile art pieces to suit all prices levels. Anita Lawrence's work is always spectacular, as are her brother's sculptures. Not to be missed.
The gallery houses some interesting artwork and sculptures, most of them are up for sale too. If you are into contemporary art, it'd be good to check it out. It is not a very big gallery and it is located behind the Milawa Cheese Company. Definitely worth having a look even if you are just stopping by the cheese shop.
