We visited in May 2014 and had a great time learning about apple picking and the apple industry. Diana, our host, brought us around the farm. Several highlights include the old-fashioned apple sorter, apple chips, vegetables and of course apple picking. Sampled pink ladys and granny smiths, both were delicious. made me wish I was a farmer! Hope to return one day

We were given a warm welcome by the friendly host, Diana and her loyal farm dog, Lucky the moment we arrived. With a small amount of AUD10.00/pax, each families will be given an empty bucket to fill up with our own self picked apples. And of coz each of us got the first kg of self picked apples for FREE. Well, while the self picking apples may sound interesting, the tour doesn't just start and end there. So let's just rewind back a little. After receiving the empty buckets, we will first learn how the apples are being picked, stored, cleaned and segregated. Now the fun part of the tour comes... Picking apples! Oh ya, did I forget to mention that Spring Valley is an organic orchard? It means we can pick and need not resist the temptation of munching the apples at the same time!To end the tour, Diana has even given us some of her fresh organic vegetables and even taught us how to cook the vegetables with apples!I would definitely suggest that everyone that stops by in Donnybrook should pay a visit to Spring Valley Orchard. It's an experience not to be missed!Just like what Diana always says during our tour "来来来!" (Come come come!)

May-June is the apple picking season. The host Diana brought us around the farm, checking out her apples sorting machine, feeding horses, and apple picking which was the highlight to the kids and my parents. We also tried the fresh broccoli on site and dried apples.Apple tour and picking is at $10 per adult, available on weekdays, email diana to let her know you are coming..This is probaly the only farm which allows apple picking in Donnybrook/or Perth. Goldfield apple and cider farm has already closed down.

We went without much expectations and had actually planned to stay for only an hour. Diana and her niece are lovely hosts who welcomed us warmly. They brought us around the farm to feed the horses, visit the organic vegetable farm and the highlight of Apple picking! The weather was lovely in May. The apples we picked were the biggest and juicest that we have eaten. The kids had so much fun and the adults were simply delighted to be able to pick the apples and eat them right away. We ended up spending nearly 2 hours there! Diana also recommended us her fav restuarant at donnybrook. We managed to find it and the food is delicious!

Had been to the Apple farm and did love the drive from the city and the farm experience was really good. Mrs Diana she is the owner of the farm and as well the tour guide does explain very well and showing the processing of apples from picking to packing was a nice experience as well. We been on 3rd June its the right season when the apples are fully grown and ready to be picked. So had lot of apples all over the farm. Would definitely recommend at any time. The tour is for 10 Dollors but we get one kilo of apple for free with it which is very worthy.

We visited the Spring Valley Orchard, Perth, in Feb 2012 and find it's owners friendly, especially Diana. It was a pity that they do not have much fruits to show us as they were having a bad season. But to make up for it, Diana showed us part of the fruit processing system (cleaning, sorting) and brought us around and broadened our knowledge on fruit picking, etc..We paid a small entry fee but in return, she gave us nice and fresh fruits and vegetables. A very pleasant experience, thanks to Diana.. May God bless your crops the next season.
