This place is a good idea but unfortunately it looks like they run out of money and it's half way done. Not worth visiting right now, maybe in the future when they get an influx of money and they finish it it might be worth seeing.
Only for kids (very young ones, others will kill you!!!), kind of thematic park with dinosaurs, horribly set up and very cheap design. Skipp it
A few minutes from Villa de Leyva on the way to Ráquira. It's worth a visit if you have time and are into it. We actually had a lot of fun taking pictures in Gondava. They'll have a 3D-movies cinema in the near future.
I liked:- You can stand next to a number of the animals and get a real perspective of their size- Guide included in entry price, providing detailed information at each station. I was disappointed in:- Feels a little run down - Spanish only - Not supposed to bring your own drinks in and there is not much shade (noted most people did bring their drinks in anyway)
Nice property- kids loved it. The dinosaurs did not move or anything- needs more activities were there can be more interaction.
I loved how happy this park made my son. He loves Dinosaurs so he enjoyed everything at this park. From the excavation for fossils to all the great dinosaurs for him to touch and take pictures with.
A place to live the prehistory with natural size dinosaurs...Made in concrete and placed in a natural prehistory looking landscape..Natural conditions on this área make of ti an ideal location for his park...
This is a pleasant little park with statues of dinosaurs and some information describing them in Spanish along a path. There is a minigolf course available for an extra fee and the option of hiring a boat on the upper lake (5,000 COP for 2 people, 10,000 COP for the larger inflatable boat for 4 people). We didn't find the dinosaurs particularly impressive, although the audio of imagined dinosaur sounds was kind of interesting. We enjoyed a picnic lunch with the kids in a little inflatable row-boat on the bright blue and incredibly clear lake. The zip wire has been taken down (possibly a good thing, given the previous review suggested it was a bit precarious). It was quite warm when we went to Parque Gondava - definitely bring hat and sunscreen. At 44,000 (approx $25 USD) for 2 adults and 2 kids, we felt it simply was poor value, especially considering the extra costs required for mini-golf and for the boat.
The park is smalll but well run. This is basically a park with fake dinosaurs throughout. The dinosaurs do not move. There are guides for each of the 4 sections to explain a bit about the dinosaurs in that section. The kids enjoyed digging for fossils and climbing of the dinosaurs. You can touch everything - big hit with the kids. There are boats you can rent for a ride around a small lake and a zip cord line which looked a little dicey to me. The path is gravel and a little difficult to handle with a stroller. The last part is up a lot of stairs so strollers must be parked and litle ones carried. There is a grassy area where snacks and drinks are for sale, and another area with a small playground and more snacks. For a proper lunch it is best to head back to Villa de Leyva. We spent about 2 hours there. Bring water and sunscreen as there is little shade and it is hot when the sun is shining.
