nice for relaxing day out. good food available. pleasant beach and seascape. sea temperature nice for a dip but sea bed very undulating, with a lot of swell & undercurrents so only suitable for strong experienced swimmers. children need to be closely supervised. be sure to carry ID as may be requested.
Me encanta playa el agua. Cada vez que voy me relajo y disfruto la playa al máximo. MARGARITA es lo más bellos que he visto!!!!!! LO RECOMIENDO!!!I loved "playa el agua". Every time I go I relax and enjoy the beach to the maximum. MARGARITA is the most beautiful place I have ever seen!!! I totally recommend it.
El Agua no longer seems to be the most happening beach on Isla Margarita. Its main appeal is its sheer length. But as with the other beaches on the island the sand isn't pure white in colour. Nice enough place for a swim.
The sun was hot in all its splendor and the water was good! It is a long stretch of beach. The point I went to is not far from Palm beach caribbean hotel. On the beach there is a bar for guests of the hotel and a shuttle service. Be careful when walking on the sand barefeet, I saw some broken bottles. There is the option to play volleyball but no one was there to guide..however, I did not mind that since I was there to enjoy the water.
Great clean beach and restaurants I will recommend "La Isla" excellent customer service, great food and not over price will go again!!!
It's a nice beach, probably the best one of the island. I went there in a rainy day, so I couldn't enjoy the beach so much. I just took a walk and found it very beautiful.I guess if you are in Isla Margarita, this is not a beach you want to miss.
just returned from 6 weeks in Playa el Agua, Monday 15 th,2013,perfect weather, good beach, lived in a rented condo, very good pool, clean, and for a two bedroom two bathcroom, cheap for 600.00 a month.Unfortunately crime is rampant. We(tourists) and Venezuelans needed Capriles in as President to get some serious changes.Playa in my opinion is finished as a tourist destination nothing is happening there after 6.00P.M. unless you venture out to Restaurant Pacifico for a meal. Very liitle to do, no where to have a decent breakfast, but I liked it anyway, although I was robbed at 8.30A.m with lots of people around so leave your expensive jewelry at home, and be very aware of who is around you make sure your in a busy, safe area. I even talked to a Taxi driver who was robbed in Sambi Mall, had his gold necklace snatched off him. Do not venture away by yourself.
a quiet beautiful place here, with great restaurants and service. swim-able beach most days. great sand. with nice little hotels across the road from the beach.
We stayed walking distance from Playa del Agua, and if you do this- I highly recommend renting a car. Personally, I think Playa el Agua was a nice area to stay in, but it was nice having a car in order to visit other beaches, see other parts of the island, and find places to eat at night. We would spend all day at the beach, and not be ready to go eat dinner until around 8, and by that time everything but a pizzeria was closed at Playa el Agua. The pizzeria is open until 10 and is very, very good. The man working there is friendly and makes delicious thin-crust pizza. But, we didn't want pizza every night, so we would drive to Porlamar, Pampatar, or Juan Griego (beautiful place to see the sunset and enjoy an earlier dinner). Bottom line is, the island is big, so no matter where you stay, I definitely recommend renting a car so you can explore a lot of it.
One of the most popular beaches of Margarita, a must see even though in my opinion not the best. Wave are quite big sometimes and dangerous for those who cannot swim..! Posadas and restaurants are available!
Likes: Good overall beach. Blue waters, great water temp and wind keeps the bugs away. Friendly staff and vacationers.Dislikes: Trash in some areas (although was very happy see vendors going out of their to randomly pick up trash and put it in the proper cans, haven't seen this elsewhere in the Carib). Food from restaurants was so-so, but the staff was very courteous and works hard for you.
We came off season so the beach was dead. I would strongly recommend this beach. Its clean and not as run down as some of the others. The economic hit to island is visible everywhere but its still got its charm. I wish I could remember the place we ate every day but I can't! Jose, the head waiter, was out Johnny on the spot. Its a two story place with walk on beach access and plays music to listen to on the beach. Loved it!
Nice beach lined with palm trees and restaurants, making it a good spot for a combination of lunch, drinks, and beach. The waves are midsize and curents, so take care when swimming, especially with small children.
i loved the soft sand and beach bar disliked the hard pressure sales from the locals...stay strong they will leave you alone
We liked the beach quite a bit during the day - there were plenty of spots to find lounge chairs, places to drink & eat, and the vendors were pleasant, not annoying. We disliked that in the evening there were only a few places to eat and there was really no places to go for entertainment, etc.
