We paid 300 hu (80p) to visit the town hall chamber( book at tourimform attached to town hall but the gem is the app from the tourinform. There are 2 tours which are a quiz to make up a saying. We were 5 adults and loved visiting the 15 sites, kids would love it. A must in Kecskemet
We had a guided tour. Architecture very impressive.Very well maintained with charming music from the bells.Restoration has revealed hidden artwork of Admiral Horthy from the 30s , which may well attract historians.
Wonderful building, conference hall must be seen. Beautiful wooden furnitures, large chandelier. The last centuries spirit can be felt in a busy Townhall. There is a nice chime every hour
Either individually or as part of a tour Kecskemet is only 85 km from the Hungarian Capital and easily accessible by road or train. some very interesting architecture from the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries is still in evidence. A stop to hear & watch the carillon in the Town Hall is recommended.
One of the most beautiful town halls. Been there for summer theaters events in the courtyard.Great place to visit on the event " museum's night.
A nice relaxing walk after a day of ilavoro and especially after a hearty and delicious dinner in a typical restaurant. Very nice covered market in the morning.
Very nice to see the old style building and well looked after. You will need to book in advance and the price is very good value.
One of the squares where you can find the catholic churches (2 of them), a Lutheran Church and a synagogue with a townhall in the same square. Each building is magnificent in its own way! a peaceful town with delicious food. Felt a little like a small spanish town to me. Do visit is all i can stay and spend enough time.
Took the Kecskemet and Puszta Great Plains trip out of Budapest about 1 1/2 hours. Kecskemet was an absolute surprise and a very picturesque town.....the Puszta Great Plains part of the tour was excellent.....the cowboys of the Plains put on a very good horse show and then we ate in the outdoors to the sounds of gypsy violins. A very pleasant, memorable trip and not expensive. Home to Budapest about 5.....a very good day.
Both the exterior and the interior of the building is great. The paintings of the Cereony Hall need some restoration but is still very nice looking. The Bells play different melodies on the hour.
