ego bar

My title is their slogan, and for Kyrenia it's true. The bar has garden areas for summer and indoor areas for winter/spring. I have been at both times and admit there was a better atmosphere when indoors. The indoors part, not used in summer, has a bar area but also areas with sofas and an open fire. The springtime clientele seemed to be largely British expats of all ages. In summer it's much more mixed, though still a foreigner venue rather than Turkish. The bar is a nighttime place mainly, for meeting friends perhaps before going to the nightclub. Service can be slow, but don't stress about that as you are here to chill, chat and have a drink with background music.

The bar is very good but the Staff is setting with the customers and asking their friend to come as well and sit with them and giving letters to the customers which is very silly and shame. we visit there for the first time with some friends and the staff came and joined us without any permission which is very uncomfortable..

My wife and I went for a stroll after a cozy dinner in Kyrenia harbor and tumbled into the Ego Bar where we bumped into some friends. Sat outside in the garden and enjoyed some drinks and good music.Good atmosphere, good friends and good drinks :) First time but definitely not the last!

Stumbled on this bar one evening after having dinner by the harbour. Liked Italianate outside with its verandah and garden so looked inside to find a tasteful laid back dark wood panelled bar with an open fire burning (still cool in March). Liked the music and found a comfortable sofa in a corner. Interesting eclectic clientele and atmospheric iconic photographs from the fifties and sixties. Good drinks although bartender needed to improve on his knowledge of cocktails. Raki comes good and strong, brandy sour was nice (though not had one before). Many of the regulars enjoying wine in large glasses and coffees. Cosy and slightly decadent. Music a key feature. May change during high season but a haven where time passes quickly in the late evening when we were there. Returned three nights in a row.

If you ever visit Girne / Kyrenia, Cyprus and you would love to have fun, or just to relax with perfect drinks and nice music, or you need to meet someone in the city... just go to the EGO bar... this is the best place for it. During a day it s a cosy pub, with interesting furniture and very hospitable waiters...If you need a club atmosphere, this amazing place just turns into a kind of club under the stars!!!

I've been in this bar many times over the last few years. I used to love it. The atmosphere was great. I have mixed feelings now.It's more expensive than all the other harbour side bars. 7TL for a small bottle of Efes export last year. You can get a full pint for the same elsewhere. Also, ensure you pay for your drinks when you order them. Saves any arguments about exactly what you've had, or not had, if you get my drift

Good atmosphere, good music though the bar didn't appear to reasonable in the price of drinks. It was busy especially at weekends with a good mix of locals and tourists, can be found just next to the mosque at the top if the cobbled street

Mekan atmosfer ve lokasyon olarak çok güzel olsa da, dün gece işletmecisinin şahsıma ve arkadaşlarıma yaptığı saygısızlık ve aşağılayıcı konuşmaları kalbimizi kırmış ve bizi mekandan soğutmuştur. Benim için mekanın atmosferinin önemli olmasının yanında daha önemli olan şey işletmecinin ve çalışanların konuklara tutumu ve davranışlarıdır. Rezervasyonda çıkarılan sıkıntılar ve sorunlar karşısındaki ilgisizlikleri gerçekten yeni yıl akşamı, arkadaşlarımın ve benim tadımızı kaçırmış olup tam bir fiyaskoydu. Öte yandan canlı müzik gayet kaliteli ve mekana bir kaç beden fazla bir gruptu.

Eski bir villadan şirin bir bar yapmışlar... Bizim oturduğumuz alt katın eskiden yüzme havuzu olduğunu öğrenmek oldukça ilginç geldi... Güzel müzikler, loş ortam, koca pervaneler, soğuk bira, hepsi güzel ama işletme amatörce. Zira kalabalık artarsa işletme ve servis sorunu baş göstermeye hazır... Haa unutmadan artık oranın demirbaşı olmuş köpek de bir ayrı tatlı... Barın ortasında kafasına göre bir yer bulup yatıyor yere :)

Расположен в центре города, рядом с портом Гирне. Приятная атмосфера, музыка играет в основном рок-н-рол и альтернативная. Цены на напитки средние. Лучше всего это заведение посещать вечером, днем здесь практически никого нет.

Considerando che a Cipro è stato difficile trovare un posto soft, senza musica dance o house a tutte le ore, il posto merita il massimo. Dettagli curatissimi, atmosfera rilassante, personale giovane e cortese. Non è la solita trappola per turisti come si trovano nel porto.
