Small and silent, clean and cosy, friendly and helpful historische and very alive place. Highly recommended from my experience, even in winter. Going to come back once upon a time.
Typical german city. Good shoppings, cafes, gardens... It's a pleasure walking by the city. During the summer is great!
We walked with Susan through Worms and she opened the eyes of our children even more to the events surrounding the second WW. Susan was so helpful and insiteful and we loved visiting with her. If you drive in Germany with out a GPS then give yourself 30 minutes on each end of your trip to get lost and ask for directions numerous times.
My wife and I enjoyed our tour of Worms and Mainz during a short visit to Germany on our way home from an Adriatic cruise. We wanted to do something meaningful with our brief time and Susan provided both an educational and entertaining way of doing so. She met us at our hotel in Mainz and after a quick rail trip to Worms, give us a very nice overview of some of the key historic sites there. She focused as we asked on our primary interest of the Jewish historical sites, including the Judengasse, Rashi Synagogue, and ancient Jewish cemetary. She also took us to other significant historical sites including the Cathedral and the site where Martin Luther was forced to address the Diet of Worms. After our return to Mainz, she showed us the new synagogue, the Citadel, the ruins of a Roman amphitheater, and the Roman monument to Drusus.Susan's guidance was thorough and informative and her restaurant recommendations for dinner were great! We highly recommend her.
Susan provided an excellent, in-depth tour of Worms, Germany. She informed me, my colleague and 16 college students about the history of Worms and the history of religion in Worms. I was impressed as a professor with the depth of information she presented, but I was also impressed with how she captivated the attention of my students. My students all "loved her" because of her excellent knowledge and how she appealed to them in her presentation style. She provided us a tour far beyond what we could have expected. We were all very pleased!!!
My family (with 2 young sons) and two friends go with Susan to visit Worms in the afternoon of 27th August. How great is this tour! Susan is perfect - kind, knowledgable, and considerate of everybody. In about three hours she can lead you to see all significance in Worms, but you didn't feel pushed. Very enjoyable! Highly recommend you to find Susan if you want to make tour around Ruedesheim, Mainz, or Worms. She has many other options too. Just email her through walking.wiesbaden@googlemail.com
If you're interested in German history then Worms is the place to go and this tour is the one to cover it. Susan's expansive knowledge of history and architecture brings it all together in a meaningful and evocative way as you wander through Worms' amazing buildings and churches, and the Jewish cemetery. A very in-depth, enjoyable tour full of fascinating insights. Highly recommended.
Susan is showed us many amazing sights in Worms. I personally was most impressed by the very old Jewish cemetery - especially atmospheric because we visited it during some fog. I wasn't aware that the Jewish presence in Germany goes so far back.Another highpoint was the Worms Cathedral which is different and much older than the cathedrals I have seen in France. It's a great tour for anyone with an interest in German history from the early middle ages to the Reformation. So many important events took place in Worms.Susan succeeds in bringing history alive and our group enjoyed ourselves greatly. Highly recommended!
