This is fairly new building which hosts a proper sized swimming pool, a small water park, a gym, a spa as well as some shops/cafés.The standard is excellent and I especially enjoyed the spa. The prices are very high, especially in the weekend and you have to pay extra for certain activities within the water park which is not very well informed about before you pay your entrance fee.
Read some other reviews on this place. Found it quite clean but I was there at opening time. Good fun for small children. Eating is overpriced for the selection. All in all a fun day. Started to get really crowded around noon. Might not enjoy so much when its really busy/crowded pools.
Been there frequently with children even it's little expensive but the service they providing is good. Children love to have sliding, surfing and big waves .
Visited yesterday with family and friends. Yes it is slightly expensive, but given the entertainment had by all, not unreasonable. Unlike others, we thought the place was very clean, the staff were really helpful and the facilities were excellent. There were people out cleaning the whole time we were there. The food was no different in price from other places in the area. Would recommend.
We visited Kristiansand in winter holidays. Aquarama was a good option in rainy weather. It is a quiet new swimming pool with many options. My kids had fun in 6 hours! But I agree that changing rooms were dirty and price too high for a such activity (550nok for family ticket).
Was looking forward to finally go to Aquarama, after being recommended to go there.Prices are extreme! 195 NOK (approx 20 GBP) for one adult in the weekends. Insane when you compare what you get for your money in the rest of Europe! The Pool was busy, fair enough - but the facilities were poor. The Café inside the swimming pool offers terribly overpriced food; the «special offer» deal for instant coffee and a half-frozen donut was 50 kr. (Imagine what 5 GBP would get you!). Or 25 kr for a small, dry slice of pizza. To top it all, the hygiene was truly shocking. Family changing areas were soaking wet with nowhere to sit, apart from one chair in the corridor - and when I arrived in the male changing room, splitting up with the rest of the family, there was a full, used nappy left on the wet tiled floor, and crisps scattered on the soaked floor by the lockers. When I returned after a swim, the mess was still there. Enough to really «soil» the experience! The Pool itself is nice, but jeez - for around 1000 Nok for a couple of hours with the family of four in a swimming pool facility, you would at least expect the staff to ensure hygenic and clean changing rooms. The owners should go visit similar facilities in Denmark and Northern Germany, and learn about cleanliness, good service, and far better value! For travelers coming to the southern coast in Norway, I´d avoid this place. Go to the swimming pool in Lyngdal, or else swim in the lakes or sea in the summertime. 3 hrs away on the ferry you´ll find great swimming centers in Denmark. For half the price!
Absolutt verdt pengene.
I jeres såkaldte 'børnes by' nr.
