This is a safe way to hunt for the Aurora borealis - in the darker time of the year. But it also a safe and nice way of exploring the wild and rough landscape of Svalbard - from Longyearbyen. It is several stopovers to explore the nature - make photos in the dark - may be see some really wild animals - and feel the magnificent nature everywhere. It is several different tours. I made it for a short one this time - and got some very nice photos. It in not possible to guarantee to see the Aurora Borealis, but - if it is there - you will have a fantastic experience! Far away from all disturbing lights in the city - and with the majestetic mountains surrounding you. You will be served a good hot drink or juice and you learn a bit about the distances - and learn to respect the conditions shaped by the nature.

We had a wonderful week in Svalbard (5 days snowmobile Safari), thanks to our most professional guide Stefano Poli, from Poli Arctici. He has a great cabine in a wonderful place, in the middle of nowhere. Fjord in front of you, maybe you can sight some polar bears, seals, artic foxes, and for sure, raindeers. The cabine has good facilities and Stefano will provide you with great food for all meals during your stay there. Stefano guide us 4 in a truly amazing trip and brought us to places that made some of us very emotional. Svalbard is a paradise but you need someone to guide you through, someone who you can trust and, cherry on top of the cake, someone cool and easy going!

It was four hours along the valley to exceptional scenery. We experienced being really out there in the wilderness and could appreciate its true beauty. It was -26 when we went and any exposed skin froze with no opportunity to stop and fix it. They provided boots, helmet, balaclava, jumper, mittens and heavy coat. I would recommend wearing many layers of clothes if doing this in Winter, including a buff (a kind of scarf-like thing we bought at the hotel). Also, wearing glasses is not possible - they fog up no matter what you do, then ice up. I need glasses for distance, but had to ride without them. We did about 50km through amazing terrain. Thoroughly worth doing, as long as you deal with the clothing and glasses issues.

Fizemos o tour pela Svalbard Adventure Group. Foi maravilhoso. Mais de oito horas pilotando sua própria moto. Acompanhados por dois guias, com vestuário completo adequado para a temperatura média de -25 graus. Com uma parada para um almoço que ficará na memória, em meio a uma paisagem completamente branca. DICA: verifiquem muito bem o que colocaram nos inúmeros bolsos da roupa. Deixamos uma câmera e não conseguimos encontrá-la depois. O preço é alto, mas a experiência foi maravilhosa.
