jardin des remparts

This is one of the reasons I put Vannes on my Brittany itinerary. The gardens are beautiful and the pictures give you an idea of what to expect. Walking the ramparts and viewing the gardens is a marvelous experience.

Please see my other reviews as I have written several but I can highly recommend this wonderful city. The people are freindly the gardens magnificent and I have only visited in winter, how wonderful it must be in summer when in full bloom. Enjoy as I have.

You've got to see this. Beautiful! The gardens are at the foot of the city wall and are beautifully planted.

These gardens are a "must see" they are immaculate and a joy to behold. A tranquil oasis in a bustling city!

Definitely worth walking around Vannes, beautiful garden where my family stopped for lunch, you can't actually go down and sit on the grass but you can overlook it from a wall which provides a spectacular view. I can safely say it is one of the most beautiful places i have seen in France. Worth a stroll.

Well presented and a nice stroll around the town. The various vantage points allow some beautiful views of the gardeners efforts and it was nice to see the a place so well kept and clean. Its a credit to the town and the people who take care of it.

well laid out with geometric displays, well tended weed free. wheelchair accessible with good paths.

We come to Vannes most years and one of the first places we go to see are the gardens. These are extremely attractive, one could say spectacular, and well laid out and kept.

Vannes mérite bien ses nombreuses fleurs sur ses panneaux. Bravo aux remarquables réalisations des jardiniers passés maîtres dans leur grand art. Ces jardins sont oh combien la fierté de notre ville, et connus à travers le monde, pas seulement grâce aux calendriers des postes!... Une promenade reposante au pied des remparts imposants.

Pas de promenade à Vannes sans passer par les remparts : de jour pour admirer les parterres fleuris et la nuit les remparts magnifiés par les lumières. J'aime !

Os jardins são a moldura perfeita para uma das muralhas mais belas e conservadas da França. O conjunto é muito harmonioso. Um bom programa para os amantes da fotografia!

Pendant mon WK, exposition de plantes, il y avait bcp d'exposants, et les déco trés soignée.C'est toujours extrement bien entretenue, pour y aller souvent, je n'ai jamais été déçue, les couleurs changent et les déco aussi selon saison. La ville de Vannes est relativement "riche" et cela se voit dans l'entretient. Bravo

La passeggiata intorno al vecchio borgo. Una mattinata spesa bene, senza fretta, in un tempo che scorre lento e che regala perle rare al viaggiatore non frettoloso.
