This Museum definitely has a treasure trove of information. Unfortunately as only an English speaker a lot of the propaganda was lost on me as I didn't know what it said. But just like the movie sparked us thinking about the goings on in this factory. Nothing can prepare you for this museum. It's great. Plan on 4-5hours to be spent here.

It wasn't quite what we thought it would be but it was set up nicely. After doing Auschwitz the day before, it made sense. I think to do it properly you need to read polish as the English didn't always suffice.

Well worth a visit. They limit the numbers to the museum so go early to be given a brilliant exhibition relating to the history of Poland after Germany invaded. The timeline takes you through the events of the ghettos being created and subsequently liquidated sending Jews to their death at concentration camps. Oskar Schindler employed many Jews and Poles in his enamel factory and his story is told here.

We walked to this museum through the "square with the chairs". It was interesting because of this and the history of the plight experienced by the Jews during the war. I think it is worth the visit but not the best experience. From an artistic point of view it's very good with the incorporation of installations and interactive displays. A long walk but there is transport but the museum is not on the original site.

We had to pay an entrance fee and then extra for a guided tour which came to approximately £7. I thought they would be telling us about how the factory was involved in the war in helping the Jewish people but it was mainly about the history of Krakow before and during the war. Interesting but not really what I was looking for.

I'm a bit conflicted with this museum. Everyone knows about Schindler because of the amazing film Schindlers List and this museum is based in the actual Schindler factory....the genuine factory that Oskar Schindler ran and wherein he saved many Jewish people from the concentration camp fate. He was a Nazi but I guess he was a reformed Nazi that saw what was happening, thought it was insane and did all he could to save the people that worked for him from that terrible fate. And he's therefore pretty much a hero in my eyes and I guess I thought he might get a little bit of a write up in his own factory about exactly what he did and who he was as a person and maybe some info about the people he saved and what happened to them after the war...and so on and so forth....if you're like me and thought there might be something along those lines then I wouldn't bother paying to go in. I'd read that the museum is predominantly about Krakow and how it was affected by the Nazi occupation and the general events of WW2 but i'd also read that you could see Schindlers office and I presumed he'd therefore have an area set aside telling his story. But yeah that's not really the case. This factory is simply a museum of Poland during the war. Which is fair enough...it's interesting to read about and everyone should know about the horrific atrocities committed by the Nazi's (lest we forget and all that) but I think they're missing a trick when it comes to Schindlers legacy here. It's his old factory...tourists are visiting this place because they've heard of Schindler and they want to know more about this man that risked his life to save others. They want to know more about the lives he saved. I guess in a way they want to pay respect to a man that did an amazing thing. But don't expect to get the chance to do this. You can visit Schindlers Office at the factory and his desk is still in there..and there's a short bit of info saying he was a Nazi but he saved people in his factory and that's kind of it. Essentially as you can probably tell from this review I was a little disappointed. And I wasn't the only one...you could hear people outside the factory saying 'well that was disappointing I was hoping to learn more about Schindler' Hey ho...maybe if enough people leave reviews like this the museum will realise that people do want to know more about this man and more will be done to honour him...maybe...

A fantastic museum that tells the story of Krakow at the outbreak of WW2 and the story of the Nazi Occupation. The Schnidler story is included but it is much more than this. If you are a fan of the film you can see some displays about this and get to see Oscars office and desk. You really do need 2-4 hours to see it all. all the displays are in english as well so you do not need a guide. There is also a small cafe here and a small shop. We arrived here on one of the golf cart tours. Having toured around the former Jewish quarter and had an excellent introduction in Krakow before and during the war, the visit to the museum was the icing on the cake. There is nothing else to see in the immediate area but do not miss out on seeing the Ghetto Heroes Square. Entrance to the museum was 19Z each which was a very reasonable price for the quality and size of the venue.

Definitely worth a visit, well set out, could take your time walking around all the displays. Would have liked to learn more about Schindler though.

Being very interested in WW2 history and having seen the film I expected something more of a museum to Schindler and his "workers" but instead I found a very fascinating museum describing the Nazi invasion of Poland, their horrible treatment of the Polish people, including the Jewish population, at the hands of these madmen. There are very many truly moving exhibits. It is best to take a guided tour here.
