harimagi

Harimagi is a 24m tall wooden lookout tower, located on the top of "one of the highest mountains in the Otepaa region". But don't get your hopes up! In this flat country, that doesn't amount to a whole lot, and it stands at only 211m above sea level.From the top, the views are impressive. Or so I am told by a friend who has visited before. On the day of this visit, the whole area was shrouded in thick frost and an eerie mist. This did not detract format he experience though since it gave the whole area a wonderful ethereal quality. The ascent is easy enough, up stout wooden staircases with handrails, and every level has strong railings.There are hiking trails in the woods that surround the tower.
