dragomirna monastery

This is the second best monastery in the region (in my opinion) after Sucevita. It is quite big, populated with nouns, looking like a small fortress with a beautiful church in the middle. The church is exterior fully painted with superb religious icons and inside is hard to be describable. Amazing paintings, an incredible altar: sculptured wood golden plated, definitely a must see. Also visit (Sucevita, Voronet, Moldovita, Putna).

This monastery is a bit different from the Bucovina monasteries with very high walls and a tall church. It is a beautiful place and if you are lucky you will have it to your self to visit.

Dragomirna is one of my favorite of the monasteries in Bucovina. With its castle-like fortress setting and lake, it is truly impressive. Friends of ours married here in 1992 in a gorgeous ceremony. Twenty-two years and two kids later, their marriage is as strong as Dragomirna's walls. Definitely go!

Beautiful surroundings - water, forest, quiet places. Plenty of parking place, beautiful and impressive walls.

Monastery Dragomirna was built in 1602 and impress by the cotrast of the massive walls and the lace of he stone tower. A variety of ornaments, decorations and arhitecture. A very fine monument of art and deserve it to be seen.

Beautiful painted walls and outstanding stone work. Unique among the other Bucovina Painted Monasteries", the builders replaced the exterior frescoes with amazing lace-like stone carvings.

When we arrived at the monastery I could not believe my eyes , I felt like I left the real world and entered a fairy tale . Dragomirna is not as famous as the other monasteries in Bucovina but for me is the most beautiful . when i visited it , the church was in process of renovation, but it was still very interesting. it has very high walls like a castle. from outside you do not know what it is: is it a church, is it a castle!

Очень большой и красивый монастырь. В отличие от большинства остальных - не расписной, но хуже от этого не становится. Воспринимается даже как будто более важный и более богатый, что ли. Ни в коем случае не игнорируйте его из-за отсутствия росписи - наоборот, это придаст какое-то разнообразие и больше запомнится. И очень красивый камень, из которого построена церковь и вся крепость; особенно ближе к закату, когда все это становится золотым. Сувенирная лавка, кстати, понравилась больше, чем в других монастырях, так что если планируете привезти какие-то подарки, то можно рассчитывать.

Монастырь был центром книжной культуры. Сохранившийся собор Сошествия Св.Духа самый высокий их молдавских триконхов. Место само по себе очень красивой и романтичное.

Dopo circa 10 km dalla strada principale si vedono le mura vicino ad un lago. Non è un monastero dipinto ma è unico per la sua architettura. I lavori alla torre sono finiti ed il monastero si può ammirare. All'esterno è in pietra ma per le sue dimensioni strane somiglia ad una nave lunga, alta e stretta ancorata alle mura esterne, interessante il museo dove si trova anche un monitor con tutte le spiegazioni.

No sólo lo visiteis, quedaos a pasar la noche!!! Las monjas tienen habitaciones estupendas, con baño incorporado y un precioso balcón con plantas que da al patio del monasterio y desde donde se puede disfrutar de la vista de la iglesia. La comida es maravillosa, auténtica comida casera rumana, y el desayuno con mantequilla y bizcochos caseros para llorar de la emoción. Haceos un favor y vivid la experiencia, no se parece a nada de lo que hayais vivido hasta ahora ;).PD: Aunque no seais religiosos, quedaos un rato con las hermanas a ver la liturgia ortodoxa, entre el lugar y los cantos, es todo un viaje en el tiempo.

Reeds in 1992 logeerden we met onze hele familie vier dagen in dit klooster. We maakten prachtige wandelingen en genoten van de herder bij het meer die zo prachtig op zijn fluit speelde. In 2012 logeerden we hier weer een nacht. De herder was verdwenen, maar het bijwonen van de Metten was een openbaring. Nu hebben we opnieuw het klooster bekeken en het is nog steeds heel erg de moeite waard.

Monastero stupendo, tenuto benissimo come tutti gli altri monasteri della zona! Consigliato portarsi un buon gps perché non è facilissimo da trovare!

calme serenite et beauté de la nature,c'est ce qu'on trouve ici,une place qui te fait penser au moyen age,située proche de Suceava.
