We just walked by all three of us admiring a nice building and it's now raining something awful so this place is nice and dry But then once inside its so lovely and completely puts you off your stride Well worth a visit
This wonderful city centre church is a splendid piece of architecture. A working cathedral with an amazing colour. It is very accessible to city centre, worth paying a visit. When I popped in it was quiet, that was a lunch time.
Absolutely worth it if are interested in architecture, It is right in the center of Belfast justa few blocks from the back of CITY HALL (another great building, good pictorial history ofBelfast here, also check out their stained glass windows depicting Belfast)A very reasonably prices hotel just across the street from St Malachy's Church too! Both places will take up about 3 hrs.
I've always admired the outside of this church had never gone in. Fortunately that has changed and I have to say it is one of the most beautiful churches I have seen. Very different to the majority of Catholic churches in its layout, I can only recommend a visit. Compact but stunning.
Beautifully restored old city centre church with a feeling reminiscent to what you might experience in similar vintage churches in France or Italy and every bit as impressive. Was glad tp have checked its serenity.
Read previous Tripadvisor reviews, and we had passed it as it was opposite where we were staying.Has to be seen to be appreciated
Church was just across the road from our hotel so we popped in as somebody had told us about it. Very beautiful large and recently had work done to it.
This church is breath taking. The paintings and architecture are truly beautiful. There is an atmosphere of serenity which makes it hard to believe you are in the city centre
Went to an orchestral concert here and thoroughly enjoyed the acoustics and the atmosphere as a whole. Stewards were very helpful and I would be keen to return in the future.
The interior of this Church is beautiful. It has been restored in the past decade, it's amazing altar with superb paintings set in intricate paster work are a feast for the eye . But gaze upwards at the magnificent ceiling and take in the fantastic display, like an upturned wedding cake. There's no charge but I'm sure a contribution to the upkeep would be appreciated.
A gorgeous church with amazing paintings and a fabulous ceiling. One of the best church interiors I've ever seen, and largely based on painting.......
If in Belfast you should visit, the inside is breathtaking, and architecture outside is amazing. Within walking distance from Belfast City Centre
Architectural wonder - looks more like a castle than a church from outside. It is very nice looking internally - do check out the ornate ceiling and climb onto the balcony (if it is open).
Beautiful chapel, was recently refurbished to a very high standard, I go here for one o'clock mass mid week, the alter is amazing, well worth a visit or for a quick mass mid week at one o'clock.
The ceiling and general interior is beautiful and worth a visit. Thankfully recently restored and sits proudly in a once thriving markets area of Belfast City Centre.
