My son had his 10th birthday party here. The private guided tour was so special and well tailored to the children. Petting Atuki the racoon, feeding the monkeys by hand, watching the piranhas being hand fed! The list goes on and on. It was amazing. The petting room at the end of the tour had an array of animals to pet including a skunk!all the children were given aprons to protect their clothing too. So many nice touches.Sherlock the meerkat was brought out for cuddles too. It was magical✨ Afterwards we used the party room which was a great space with hay bale's, kids loved it. Will be back again and again, best attraction in Teesside in my opinion and fantastic value for money

A great place to visit if you love animals! They have all kinds of different creatures so there's something for everyone. I took my 10 month old son & he loved seeing all the different animals & petting them. Definitely worth a visit no matter how old you are. Staff are so friendly & knowledgeable & really make you feel welcome. I'll definitely be going back there!

Called in other day been meaning to visit for a while its defo worth a visit its a shame a few of the animals were asleep and shacked up upon our visit but nothing you can do about that.Pleasantly surprised inside its that old saying "don't judge a book by its cover" its defo worth a visit I hope it goes from strength to strength people complaining of pricing its a good price for what's to be seen as an attraction up the road only has a shed load of butterflies to see for around the same cost.A few things to take on board though disabled access is dire for anyone in a wheelchair but eventually you can get in via a tradesmen's entrance, signage needs to be better on the displays and maybe staff to inform what's what and a leaflet upon admission to inform you what's there to be seen a cafe area would be great with a picnic area even if its a vending machine:).Hope to visit there again great way to kill a couple of hours on ourdoorstep.

I have visited Pet Mania pet shops numerous times on business and have always been impressed with the vast array of animals but also the care shown to the animals by knowledgable staff. They have always promoted themselves as 'more like a zoo than a pet shop' and with this latest addition to their business this is definately the case. The mixture of animals is excellent as is the way they are displayed. The cages for different types of animals are mixed up so that the visitor does not become bored with looking at similar animals together. The best thing is the accessibility of the animals and the mixture of 'wild' and petting type cute animals - my only regret is I didn't have long enough to visit and to enjoy the experience more. I will endeavour to return as soon as possible.

Took the kids here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Quite small (mostly inside) but interesting animals and they loved handling some of them. A young man named Mathew was very friendly and informative and happy to answer all out questions.

Took the grandchildren to see the animals and they really enjoyed it. I was surprised to see the variety of animals they have and the petting area was delightful. A wide variety of animals throughout the park with indoor and outdoor areas. Will definitely visit again.

After seeing the cost I was a bit sceptical but then when the photos on facebook and recommendations from friends started to come I realised this was more than just a couple ofrabbits. The array of animals is pretty impressive and it all looks great too. We visited on a weekend which was expectedly busy but this didn't mean we couldn't get to see all the animals and we never felt rushed. You've got to take into account the cost isn't that much different to leisure farms where there is much more to do but the thing that stands out the most here is the handling area. It's brilliant, ran by knowledgable staff who literally could not do more. Nothing was too much trouble and the children (and me) got to handle lots of different animals. We didn't catch the name of the lad there (fairly young-we visited 01/02 if you can find who he is as he was brilliant) but he is a credit to you, he was brilliant with the kids and didn't just put the animals in front of them he talked to them about the animals and they came away having learnt about the animals too. This is where you differ from other places, most places you can pet the odd rabbit but you don't find anything about the animals not like here, you come away wanting to go back again.Definitely worth a visit : )

I recently visited Wild Animal Adventures and I have to say, I was really impressed. Having previously visited a number of zoos I was originally skeptical of how it was going to measure up. But to my surprise, it was very good! A wide variety of exotic animals and some more well known. My girlfriend's favourites were the Fennec foxes! The nocturnal area was really good with the bats flying around you, it really brought a unique experience. The petting zoo would be ideal for kids as they get to see the usual farm animals in the outdoor paddock area and then they can venture inside to the handling area to hold some exotic animals. Myself and my girlfriend were disappointed not to have the opportunity to hold the micro pigs but we understood they needed to be with their mother. The only negative I could think of the whole experience, was just the lack of signage to get into it. A member of staff told us where to go when we paid but I felt that the Facebook and website should say it's located at the back of the store near the birds. This took nothing away from the experience though! Wild Animal Adventures is a great day out for all the family! Buy some feed at the counter when you get your tickets, the animals love it!
