We take quick day trip to pine mountain area all the tip and enjoy butts mill farms every time we stop by. They have horse back trail ride that are fun. The kids in the family like the animals
My little family have visited the farm twice and both times, the kids were completely tuckered out when we left... there is so much to do!! From bouncy houses to riding a bull!! A man was even kind enough to allow my boyfriend's daughter to riding a horse around in the yard. There's go-karts and a creek to play in during the summer!! We love going and hope to return soon!!
We took our 5 kids ages 2-12 to Butts Mill Farms. The kids all had a great time! There are so many things to do here to keep busy all day. Loved the horses! The outdoor jumpy houses could use a good cleaning, but they are outdoors. Will definitely go back!
Overpriced. Filthy. Nothing to do. Rude employees. Draw your own conclusions. Better places to spend your money and have an enjoyable time.
This place had so many activities for children. There was mini golf, (needs some repair), a rope-net to climb, a train ride, a toy bull ride, an inflatable boot camp style obstacle course, swimming in a creek, slides, a covered climbing & jumping area, etc... These things were all covered in the admission fee. There is horseback riding also but I think it's about $30.00. There's so much to do that our kids were never going to be ready to leave. There are hotdogs & nachos available but no restaurant on site. On the down side, some of it was dirty. Some of the golf clubs were filthy & I didn't want to touch them. They were out of soap in the bathroom all afternoon, even though they had been told hours before that they were out. It could use a little tlc in different areas, but it was a fun afternoon.
I took my three kids (1,3,6) here and we loved it. There are tons of playgrounds for kids of all ages to enjoy. We played on their very nice Putt Putt Golf Course and the kids loved the jumpers too. The other nice thing is that there are plenty of places to sit down at too.
Very rundown and dirty. No petting zoo to speak of which is why we went in the first place. No food unless your brought your own picnic lunch. Very disappointing because it sounded pretty nice on the web site. I would not recommend this to any one I know!
Your kids will love it. Mini golf, animals, and time outside. It is a bit pricey, but still worth the visit.
My daughter and I spent almost 2 hours just hanging out and playing putt-putt. There was plenty for kids to do, but we didn't have a lot of time. Don't expect major thrills - just a nice place to spend time, see some animals, listen to the river, and let the kids play. They have some adventure type things like paint ball, but we didn't experience those. There isn't food, but some lovely places to picnic.
Wow. This place has the dubious honour of being my first ever bad review of an attraction- and I can put up with a LOT!We came out as a family of 3 (6 yr old boy, and parents) expecting to do some climbing and playing, and knowing there were some extra fees for certain things, and that water events were on the menu. The one saving grace was that this place does offer free admission for serving military members, which was darn good or I would be TRIPLY peeved at having to pay what we did! (about $36 for entry)Our first disappointment was the Inflatable Bootcamp activity was not running. They claimed they had to clean it the day before, and they didn't want to risk any children's health by having them come in contact with the cleaning supplies...and they want to have a clean attraction. The only thing i can think of, is that somebody must have fouled it and they HAD to clean it, because it was certainly the ONLY thing showing any evidence of maintenance or cleaning! Ditto for the inflatable water slide (2 attractions down). We went to the bike/trike/scooter track - a cement pad around a basketball court- but the majority of bikes and trikes there were broken. Rusted chains hung off a bike, wheels on trikes were broken, everything left in disarray ...and we were there fairly early, and saw only 2 or 3 other families. Clearly no one attends the area even at the end of the day. Next, over to the 'Discovery Center'. I guess you are to discover new ways to injure yourself and your child? Exposed and rusted nails, torn mats, ripped off padding, broken netting, and tons of spiderwebs and dust. I get that this is an outdoor environment, but this kind of dirt doesn't happen in 1 week....or likely even 1 month. Rotted boards throughout the place, there was even a twisty slide that was held up by a bungee cord - i kid you not! One of the fireman's poles in the park had an attempted repair with duct tape and PVC tubing, but was just another accident waiting to happen. Water level was low in the creek - not their problem, i completely understand....but TELL people when they come in that several attractions are not running, or not up to par. Its not like they were overwhelmed with people!! Mini putt was ok, its a large course...they do offer some nice perks like the pony rides, and a little train ride around the park, but we were so thoroughly UNimpressed that we just left. We did speak to management about the closure of the attractions, but i didn't address the safety issues them them.
I took my daughter and 2 of her friends to the farm to go horseback riding for my daughter's 11th birthday. When we got there we paid, (close to $200 for the 4 of us) was given a map and that's about it. No directions as to where to go, no helpful advice, no thank you, no customer service at all! So, after finding our way to the barn the man there asked nothing about what kind of experience any of the girls had, simply had them pick a horse based on which one they thought was pretty! No helmets were offered, no directions given, no nothing! Two of the girls had very little experience and they were put on 2 horses who ended up going off the path, breaking into a canter without warning, and biting each other! One of the girls was in tears by the end of the ride! So, long story short, this is not the place for inexperienced riders and no, the horses aren't all "big ol' sweeties" like he assured us. It wasn't a bad ride for someone who knew how to control a horse, but certainly not for beginners.Other than that, I'd have to say the rest of the activities are catered more for the 4-8 age range so my 10-11 year old group got bored pretty quickly. Not the great birthday experience we had hoped for I'm afraid and certainly not worth the money I paid!
A nice place for an all day outing or for a few hours. It has much to do for kids as well as a miniature golf course. A general store with drinks, but no food. You have to go into town to eat but can come back as they give you a wrist band. Has animals to see but not pet and horses to ride on a trail or for little ones with a handler. Also offers hayrides. Has asmall beach front where you can tube, play, or just have fun..Many playground areas to choose from, but not as clean on some of the blowup jump castles as I thought it should be.... leaves an dirt. It is a fun place an when I get a chance will return.
It is a great place for ALL ages. There is so much space you never feel over crowded. My kids are 4, 10, & 13 and they all love it. We always get season passes. You can't beat the price. We love it!!!
Attractions at Butts Mill Farm Inflatable Bouncies . Plenty of them, different shapes, sizes, and degrees of difficulty Mini Gold Course - Its cute, but you may have to wait for other people to get done before you have equipment. Playhouse Equipment - slide, swing, etc Bull to ride - well it takes four people to manually move the bull, but if you don't mind a workout, I am sure you can find someone else that will help. Small Creek w/ Beach- has a tiny slide and an inflatable in the middle to jump on. Okay for the kids to play in, but the swings that overlook the creek are my favorite. Fun Zone - this is some mats to do flips on and tubes to crawl through. My tweens still love this place. I sit above the fun zone and read a book while they play. You have a full view of the place. Go Garts - there is an additional fee of $8 Horseback riding - Additional fee of around $25. Enter at your own risk. I had a great time on my trail ride, but my son ended up with the most psycho horse. He ended up being thrown from the horse and will forever have a quarter size scar for that memory. The staff was very nice, so this is not a dig on the place and I understand animals are tempermental, it is just a warning that animals are not guaranteed to do what you want them to do. Track - There is a small track to ride provided trykes on or play basketball within. In the back is a fun obstacle course, adults can play on this one, no little kids.It just really depends what you want to do with your day. I like this place because my kids like this place and are entertained, while I relax reading a book. I just follow them around. They sometimes have a Halloween gathering with trunk a treat for the community. Also many businesses have functions and company parties here.
We found Butt's Mill Farm to be more geared for kids than adults. For young families there are playgrounds, a huge, bouncy obstacle course, putt-putt which has a cool, shallow creek running throughout, horseback riding (an additional fee), water slides and more. You get a bracelet upon entering and you can leave and return. Our bunch left the premises for lunch and afterward we two older adults opted to go back to our cabin. It was a hot day and there is a good bit of walking. Some of the others went back to explore a little more. There is plenty to keep you busy for at least 3-4 hours.
