This museum has an assortment of odds and ends that will strike the chords of memory for many people. The Harvey Girls area is small but definitely worth seeing. I was surprised at how much history is wrapped up in Winslow: it's a lot more than a line in an Eagles' song. The space is small enough to see everything in an hour or so, but the best part is talking to whoever is working on the day, those added facts and personal stories add immensely to the memorabilia on display

The museum is located in an old bank building a quarter block north of the "standing on the corner" sculpture. If you take the time to read the descriptions on the displays and talk with the curators you should be able to get a good description of the towns colorful past. It's worth a hour.

This little museum is off the beaten path. It is a little hard to find. But, once you do, it is worth finding. The local history that is significant to the national history is tremendous. Winslow was the place to be back in its heyday. Unfortunately, things changed and Winslow became just another town left behind. But, this museum shows you all the history you will ever need for this area. This is the little museum that roared. For its size, you will not be disappointed.

This museum is small, but full of history! Included in the museum are exhibits on Native Americans, Mormon establishment, train and travel history (Route 66 and Lindbergh Airport), Harvey Girls, and local folk who were born and raised there and went on to make significant history in America. I had no idea TWA used to provide a coast to coast service with many stops including a stop in Winslow.... who knew?

The museum is full of Winslow history and the staff is so helpful and wonderful to talk with. The museum welcomes dogs and is free!

This little museum, owned by the Winslow Historical Society, is a tiny place chocked full of local history. From info on Route 66, Lindbergh Airport, La Posada and the Harvey girls to early American native life, ice age fossils and local family life, this little gem has it all. There is no admission but donations are welcomed. The volunteers are knowledgeable and willilng to share their opinions as well as historical facts. The museum is open Tues.- Sat. from 11AM til 3PM. They do have a small gift shop area where they accept cash but not credit cards. While I am not a history buff and not that fond of museums, we ended up spending several hours in this little place and I am glad we did.

Been to Winslow many times, but this was my first visit to this museum. Very interesting old photos of Winslow and the railroad. Nice ladies attending to the museum. You can see it all in about 30 minutes. About 100 feet from the famous "corner".

The old trails museum is a great stop for one to learn about the history of the small town of Winslow. While this museum does not have a very professional contemporary layout it provides a great depth of memorabilia covering almost every element of Winslow's history from the Santa Fe Railroad to the High School to the original Trans World Airlines stop at the local airport.
