We enjoyed the afternoon watching horses, being in the sun and people watching. Had a beverage or two then went out to eat in downtown Arlington Heights. very nice afternoon

Arlington Park Racetrack is one of the nicest in the US. Beautiful and well managed. Good luck selecting some winners.

This is a wonderful place to take the family. Get up close to the horses, see the beautiful landscape, there is live music, bring a picnic lunch, the children can ride a pony and a petting zoo area. Or just relax in the sun and place a few bets.

I meet up with friend on a summer Friday every year at this track. Even if you don't gamble it is very fun place to visit. Beverages and food are reasonable and the atmosphere is beautiful.

Arlington Park continues to be a great way to spend a day in the sun with friends having a couple drinks and watching the horses. I admit that I'm only here 2 or 3 times a year and I have lived near the park my whole life. The grounds are beautiful and I typically spend my whole time here outdoors. There are food tents and bars outside as well as betting windows (with humans) and machines as well. There may be live music on the day you're there as well. We come here with our teenage kids and other friends and family and just soak up the environment. Fridays are quite busy and lively here and typically the day we're there.

I actually gamble very little but I love the ambiance. Their "attraction" days are fantastic. I love Kentucky Derby Day, million dollar day and of course the 4th of July. They really go all out to make these fantastic experiences. I have had a few get togethers there also and it is always a good time for everyone.. You can have a picnic and bet on races. They have tables which are first come and first serve.

When you go to the track, I highly recommend that you reserve tables at the Terrace Cafe. You can go online and reserve/pay before you go. This is a fun spot, just above the track. Not only do you have a table and umbrella, and a decent lunch and appetizer menu, but you can run a tab all day. You can also walk around without worry, since the table is yours for the entire day.If you walk down a few steps from your table, you are right on the rail, and can either see the horses finish the race or see them start, when the gates are there. It's a super location if you are a photographer.

Always exciting. Great fun to watch the horses and make a few bets. Really a very pleasant experience.

I've been to about 20 different racetracks and Arlington park is one of the best in the world! The paddock area is great, can view from several locations, don't forget to see the John Henry/The Bart statue!

Easy parking, enough sun and shade for any preference and great track to see horse racing. The more friends you bring, the more fun you have.

Arlington Park is fun for the whole family depending upon the many events held here every year. Of course the races but there are many family things to do like the petting zoo. My family rented a tent and has a "surprise party" for me for my 60th birthday. They were able to bring in food and set up tables to accommodate my family and friends. We had a TV Screen to watch the races and we were close enough to watch the field too! We have had many family events at Arlington park even my nephews engagement party! Fun for everyone!

Arlington in season is great. I have been to many racetracks around the US. I rate Arlington as number 2 behind only Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY. The landscaping at this track gets the most immediate positive attention. Food is expensive BUT for $5.00 you can bring a food basket. Overall a nice experience afternoon experience. A little pricy for entrance ($8.00 as opposed to Churchill $3.00). Never use the tellers except to cash in the last race day due to line length. Use the self-serv.

The most beautiful track I have ever visited! Superbly manicured grounds, flowers & landscape fantastic! Clean. Most friendly staff from restaurant to bars to ushers. Every one was happy to help when they could. Great family atmosphere as well. A special family area with petting zoo and fun stuff for the kids. Great place to spend a weekend afternoon, by yourself, with your wife/girlfriend, a bunch of friends, or the family. Put this place on your "Bucket List"!
