as a kid i was always told it was full of real Catsup and i always thought that was the coolest thing. pretty cool to see
Well, you don't really visit this thing, you just kind of observe it. I have gone by it for years. It's a big catchup bottle-water storage tank. Rumors are that it is for sale, no takers as yet. Does anybody have need of one?
Everybody needs to be able to say they've seen the world's largest catsup bottle. It is well maintained and the pride of the community
In Christmas time, Santa can be seen climbing the side of the bottle with a big sack of toys for all the good girls and boys.Hard not to drive through Collinsville and not see it. A local icon that needs to be preserved as is.
Only about 5 miles off the highway so worth the trip to see it before it's sold (it's currently up for sale). Neat to be able to say I saw the World's Largest "Catsup" Bottle. Other than that it's just an old water tower in the shape of a ketchup bottle.
How much can you say about a water tower. It's shaped like a Ketchup bottle. That's it. I don't remember if there is a parking spot there to stop and take a picture or gawk at it. Apparently there used to be a "catsup" factory in town that is no longer there, but they decided to keep the water tower ketchup theme. Don't plan your vacation around this you will be disappointed!
This is a water tower made to look like a Brooks Catsup bottle. It is on Illinois 159. That is all there is to it. George Bush drove past it when he was in the area a number of years ago.
There isn't much around the area to see besides this. Hard to get a clear photo due to arial wires. It is one of those thing you can say you have seen it!
Just think it is a neat landmark, of course we stopped to get pictures!! Both at night and back the next morning for a daytime picture.. Yeah, it's just an old water tower, but kinda cool, If your nearby you should drive by and check it out...very cool....
We went on a October morning to see this exhibit. Not much too it. Good for a few quick photos and once in a lifetime visit is about it.
Happened to pass by this landmark on way to highway from our hotel. It is actually a water tower painted to resemble a Brooks brand catsup bottle. We stopped to snap a picture by the sign underneath...even though we are Red Gold catsup fans. LOL! Beginning to fade.
Interesting to see if your in the area. Unique piece of history. Not real good as far as being able to take photos in front of. Sets in an area surrounded by houses. All in all interesting.
This is very famous in the area, but when all is said and done, it's just a water tower painted like a catsup bottle. Still a piece of history, though.
Unusual to see such a huge catsup bottle. Grew up eating it and this site is a memorable landmark in this area.
I grew up near this area so it was not very exciting. After moving away, 20 years later I now appreciate the unique quality of this structure. Worth going a bit out of your way to see this water tower.
