The family and I did a zip-line weekend. Grafton was our first on Saturday. The views just getting to the place were great. They have one of the longest lines I have been on. A couple of lines were a little to short that's the only reason it does not get 5 stars. The people who work there are wonderful. There is someone there that takes photos for you and they do very well.
Absolutely, a great afternoon! Our guides - Mark, Penny, and Kevin were assume. The trail is really fun and the staff made the day with their banter and encouragement. And of course after such a fun couple of hours ziplining we had to proceed to Aeires for a glass or 2 of wine and delicious food.
If you're in the Grafton, IL area, you must plan a trip to Grafton Zipline Adventures! Your day zipping through the trees starts simple enough, but then you'll pick up speed & altitude as you venture further & faster into the woods! You will enjoy 9 different ziplines, each offering breath-taking views! The staff, and in particular our guides Sam & Carrie, were exceptional! Nick and Cassens Photo has photos available for purchase as well. Highly recommend!!!
This is by far one of the best zip lines that we have been on. Plenty of speed, great views, and very safe. The 2000' Soaring Eagle line is awesome! The staff is great to work with. Can't wait to come back again.
My husband & I were first time zipliners & a little apprehensive. Our guides, Sam & Liz put us at ease right away. Their safety instructions were easily understood by all & they were able to get us all laughing after we finished the first zipline & realized we were safe! We thoroughly enjoyed it. Would love to bring some friends with us & do it again.
Although zipline in kaui and costa rica are uncomparable, for a small, not as picturesque, or high, or adventurous, this was just plain fun. The designer of the zipline from Bunker Hill was a lot of fun, and made it very enjoyable, and his assistant was great too. For something to do in the area, worth the time and money. Have heard he might have night time zip-sounds even better
My family and I was in a group with a loud and rowdy bachelorette group. The ladies were looking for a great time and the found it at Grafton Zipline. The Zipline guides let everyone have a great time while ensuring everyone was safe. My family and I had a great time.
This is hiking and climbing meets flying. We had 4 in the party with two guides. The helmets and the gear was in great condition. The only thing I worried about was my gloved hand getting into the pulley. Nothing like that happened. Safe fun experience.
This was the first time I went on a zip line tour. I had won tickets for 2 zip line tours & thought I might enjoy it. I didn't break right the first time & came in hard but the staff stopped me. I tried again & did ok. I also started swaying sideways on the 3rd run & caught my glove on cable & cut & burned my arm. I didn't realize I had to control the swaying with the brake. You definitely want to keep straight. After that I had one of the guides go with me on the rest of the runs. I enjoyed it much more then because I didn't have to worry about braking or moving around. My boyfriend enjoyed it & he did great. I am glad that I didn't have to pay $79 (weekend) for the zip line tour because it was harder than I realized it would be. It just didn't work for me but it has for others.
We had zipped before and this tour was as expected. The lines are a lot of fun. The longest one has a great view. Our guides were George and Kelly. They were safe and fun. There was no hiking between lines. We had a really great time.
Guides were very entertaining. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun getaway with friends. Already planning a return trip this fall.
We visited Grafton zip line with our kids. (Ages 12, 8, 7). Having zip lined before, this course met my expectations. It was through the canopy and most lines were 900 - 2000'. Their longest one, soaring eagle was over the trees and provided a great view of the river. The guides were knowledgeable and patient, especially with my friends nervous children. Safety being first, I so wish the guides had the younger children pull on the brake before sending them on the first run to make sure they knew how hard to pull. My friends daughter went solo on the first run and didn't break and came in VERY HARD. BUT by the end our guides had her smiling and rode the last run solo!!!!!!!
This was so much fun that I can't believe it was my first time! The staff was so friendly and explained everything in great detail. My friend and I had our children with us and Garrett and Heather were so patient, especially with my 8 year old daughter who got super nervous before the first zip. It was an awesome experience and my group had a blast!
First time on a zip line and it was quite an experience! My apprehension was put to ease by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. There were two instructors that went with and both were very experienced. They gave us detailed instructions at each line as all of them are different as to how fast or slow you must put on the brakes to stop. If one is too afraid to go alone, the instructor will hook up with you. The views from the highest lines are amazing! The price is well worth the experience. Do not hesitate to experience this adventure.
First time on a zipline and this ride was amazing!! The employees on our trip, George and Sam, were top notch. They gave explicit instructions and their sense of humor put us with fears of heights at ease. They both excelled at telling us exactly what we needed to do, from start to finish. The pictures they provide are great memories and reasonably priced as well. All of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the group we were with made it even more fun. Will definately do it again!!
