As a Viet Nam vet I felt a deep connection to this place. Total dedication by the staff makes this a place a must visit.

I visited it and was given a tour of the place by a knowledgeable volunteer guide. While we were walking around other volunteers were restoring the planes to prepare for an air show.( *March 2015 )The aircraft there cover from WWI to Korea. There are Helicopters as well as fixed wing aircraft.

One of the best and most complete Warbird Museums we've visited. Worth the price of admission. They have 3 separate areas to view aircraft. The restoration hanger, the Vietnam Era hanger and the general aircraft area featuring WWII, Korea, and modern era aircraft. Primarily USAF aircraft now. The restoration hanger shows work on 2 F-86s (one which is flyable) and an F-105 that is being restored and almost ready for painting. Volunteers are available to escort you around and provide you with much information or you can wander by yourself and enjoy the aircraft. A big air show is planed for mid-March with the Thunderbirds scheduled to perform. The gift shop is excellent. The history museum has many interesting items on display, including American, Canadian, Japanese and German artifacts. You can tell which aircraft are flyable by the oil can catch pans located beneath the engines. The quality of the restorations is excellent. Well worth the trip if you like warbirds!

I'd read about this place but almost didn't go as it was out of my way. The lesson is the best things always are. This place is fantastic! When I got there, a Douglas A4 Skyhawk was running up before going for a test. The hangers were full of aircraft and men fixing them who were delighted to stop and talk. You get to see and touch the aircraft here, no velvet ropes or barriers, just the smell of hard work and old arose planes. I spent several hours that just flew by, talking with people passionate about the aircraft they cared for, their lives, and the mueseum. Special thanks to Jack who made all the time in the world. The shame was I had to leave, made worse that I won't be here for the air show in March (13,14 &15). Thoroughly recommended even if your not into aviation. This one is now in my personal top ten.

We had been told by relatives that we should see the museum so we decided to visit. It was amazing. They are restoring the Tico Belle and it was so fascinating to watch. There is so much to see and the volunteers will answer any questions you have plus give you more than you can remember. It was so educational and so much to see that we could have stayed longer. Even if you are not into aircraft, you will find this museum exciting and full of nostalgia.

Like: excellent vintage airplanes, well-maintained and very knowledgeable volunteers, good gift shop, annual show is excellent, good value for money. Dislike: if you attend an all day show, you can't leave to go elsewhere for lunch even when their lunchroom is busy with no tables or even if you only want to go to the other restaurant on airport.

Amazing collection of airplanes, especially the Vietnam era planes. Nice displays, also. Some of the planes are still fly-able. Definitely worth a visit if you are a pilot, veteran or flying aficionado. There is a price discount for veterans.

Large collection of military aircraft, most of which have been lovingly restored to near perfect condition. Many of them are in flying condition including a C47, an F86 and an WWI bi-wing SPAD. If you like military aircraft, this place is a must see.

I have been to aviation museums (like the Air and Space Museum in DC) and this one was a real treat. It was really nice getting right up to the planes where normally you are a distance from them. The volunteers giving tours was a nice touch also.

I thought there'd be a few old planes and little else. I was wrong. They have an extensive array of aircraft and more in restoration. The store is full of goodies and the people supporting are knowledgeable and great to talk to.

I am an aircraft designer with more than 30 years of experience in major military (combat) aircraft and have seen many aviation museums throughout the world.Valiant Warbird Museum is an ICON first class.It keeps and maintains a beautiful collection of wonderfully restored aircraft of all kind. From biplane to ancient transports, from 50-ties bombers via century fighters both naval and airforce to even modern types of 4th generation. The restoration hangers can be accessed and you may see very dedicated and friendly people caring about their beasts. Some future icons are re-evolving under the hands of people of arts and industry, being experts in bits and pieces as well as in flight-physical understanding together with a volume of historical events and stories. You may even find historical research aircraft such as NASA's sonic boom research vehicle, how did they get hands on this? They will tell you.The place also houses several airshows throughout the year which would make your day a double breath-taking one. Naturally the museums shop offers you almost everything from T-shirt to a fine selection of models. The whole place is well rounded off with some smaller rooms giving you some deeper impressions of aviation history.By and large - a must place not only for aircraft-enthusiasts but anybody who wants to be well guided and entertained in a correct way in historic and recent events.All the best to Valiant Warbird Museums - you are at least among the top 10 in aviation museums.

Let the kids enjoy Disney, while you do something enjoyable.A wonderful time spent grovelling over a good selection of veteran and vintage aircraft. With 3 hangers to hunt through and plenty of variety in each you're never bored. One hanger is full of projects in differing stages of completeness.A visit on flying days must be something to behold, however, I recommend you put aside at least 3 hours just to see the static display.

The museum had many displays of things of different eras of history. If you like planes you would enjoy seeing the various types they have there. Many of they planes are being restored, for future use.They have an air show in March. I think that would be fun to see. They are off the beaten path, and they are a little pricey, but it was worth the trip once.

We visited Valiant only on the off-chance, because we were in the area and this was listed as Tripadvisor's top pick. Expectations weren't high, particularly when we arrived at the relatively down-to-earth front door. But this place is a gem. First class carefully restored exhibits which are brought to life by volunteer tour guides and restoring engineers who have real insight, enthusiasm and dedication to this fascinating set of living historic artefacts.

This is one of the coolest air museums that we have encountered. It is located in the Cape Canaveral area and has 3 large hangers of planes. We were given a tour of the museum (free with admission) and the guide was excellent with his knowledge of aircraft and their part in history. We even got to go into the hanger where they were restoring several vintage aircraft for flight. While there, they actually started up one of the vintage aircraft and moved it out on to the tarmac. Real treat. Spent about 2 hours just touring the museum.
