This place is popular with people who like cheap golf with no amenities, like greens and fairways. It is a pasture with flags and cups pretending to be a golf course. But you get what you pay for.The only complimentary thing I can say is the staff is friendly and the hot dogs are good.

The track is poorly kept, grass in the bunkers, poor greens, and you need a hammer to get your tee in the ground. If you just want to knock a ball around with your kids, it is fine, but for even semi-serious golf I avoid it.

We come to Florida to get away from the Winter weather back home. Having not played for several months we thought Rivard would be a good place to start. 18 holes on a fairly decent course for not a lot of money would give us some decent practice. As much as I would complain about the putting on the greens, we still managed to 2 putt most greens! There hasn't been a lot of rain in this area lately so the ground is pretty hard. If you don't keep your ball on the fairway you have a good chance of it being lost, they seem to travel a very long way on the hard ground. I have Always found the people here to be very friendly and courteous. They still have some challenging holes and playing from different tees gives you more of an opportunity to experience a different round of golf!

My husband and I had to check out this course after talking with other people that had played it. The course is not in Great shape but they do have some interesting holes and it can make for some challenging play. Not much of a setup for putting and chipping. Their chipping area is right behind the 9th hole, careful for people approaching that green as they can easily hit you on their approach shots. Greens are also not in great shape, different grass then other courses in FL. Very inexpensive play including cart though. Interesting holes made for some fun playing!
