Have played here many times because I like the layout, course is always in good condition, staff is very pleasant, price is right, and it is close to my home. What else could a boy ask for? Greens are fairly quick, bunkers are in the right places to make you miserable, and they even have green sand for the divots. There is enough water to challenge you, but it is a managable place for hackers and pros alike. Have fun here !!
The women's club that my wife belongs to held a dinner-dance at Deer Run Country Club recently. The food was delicious; the staff was very nice. The dining room is large enough to hold close to 100 people comfortably. There is plenty of parking. We had a buffet style dinner that was excellent; the food was warm; the drinks cold. What more do you need for an evening with friends?
Deer Run Golf Course is an attractive course with a demanding mix of par 5's, 4's and 3's of varying difficulty. Bunkers have been placed, for example, at the corners of dog-legs to keep us on our toes! The course is pleasant to look at, the greens are very well kept, the fairways sometimes wide, sometimes narrow, and, despite being busy, there was a flow to the play both ahead and behind us. The staff at reception, the man meeting us at our car to put our clubs on the golf-cart and the green keepers tending the course were all courteous and efficient. A great find!
I had my wedding reception at the club house. had to pay a 200 dollar dance floor set up fee, no big deal. however the dance floor was not set up properly. they only put edging on 3 sides of a 4 sided dance floor. the dude that was unprotected was in front of the groom, bride table. as people came to greet us at the wedding party take my aunt caught her site on the dance floor where there should have been edging, needless to say ruined the reception due to embarrassment and injury to start off the reception. then my dj who called, I called, and the bride called all prior to the event to see if the club had wifi, didn't have wifi which they told all of us they did. the prime rib was easy under cooked, even the first cut was blood red. then they cleared of the food before my dj got to eat, he had to have someone go to McDonald's for food. all this and several calls to the general manager, and emails go unanswered. I believe we are at least owed the 200 dollars back for dance floor set up which was not set up properly! do not trust that the country club at deer run to be a positive experience! the gm should answer his calls instead of screening them, and return emails!
My husband plays golf at Deer Run often and has great things to say about it. The fairways and greens are looking good, although a few tee boxes need work. The Clubhouse is excellent, with great staff and food. The Wednesday night dinners are a date night for us. These are open to the public, as are daily lunches with good hamburgers, salads, and specials each day. I've hosted several luncheons and dinner parties and they were all well received. We even held our wedding there a few years back!
Played there in early March and course is in excellant condition. Greens run fast, true and are challenging. Can't beat the $30 greens fee, cart, and lunch price during week and a little more on Weekend....Lunch includes any sandwich off the menu plus a soft drink or a beer.Fries extra{$1.25} try the reuben...Staff at the course very friendly. Pace of play very good. Will definitely play there again upon returning to the area
This is a very nice golf course. It's always in pretty good shape. For the price ($30) which includes golf and lunch can't be beat. The food is good and the service is great.
I live about 30 feet from the fairway. The grass and greens are mowed every morning. The traps are raked every morning. I know because the mower is my alarm clock. I no longer play golf, but observe the play every afternoon. It is well maintained
This is by far the worst course I have ever played. I should have known when the price was only 25.00 with cart and lunch. The majority of the T boxes and fairways were packed dirt. The rough was well over 8in tall and had not been mowed for weeks. The sand traps were more like clay traps. The fire ant hills have taken over the course. The worst part of all were the greens. They were repairing them with sod in spots all over the greens. The sod wasn't level with the rest of the green, the gaps were not filled in. There was no chance at all in making any put on any green under repair, which was all but 3. There are way too many other choices in the area for about 10.00 more that you will be more pleased with.
We have had many family events at the Country Club at Deer Run. Scott the manger is very helpful and every event we have done here has been a huge success. The food is fantastic and the price is wonderful..
The golf course is nice but the maintenance could be better. They where repairing the greens when we were there and the tees could use an overhaul also. Service was OK, charts a bit old and tired, restaurant OK and food was fine. Would I come again? most likely but hoping for a bit better maintenance. It was good golf at a nice price (good discount because of the repair of the greens)
Well maintained course with friendly staff. Price was very reasonable for winter golf in Florida which sometimes can be high taking advantage of "snow birds"
Although our foursome played a round in slightly over four (4) hours, we were approached and spoken to very harshly by the so called "Player Assistance" ranger, about speeding up our play. The sign on their carts should be changed to read, "Player Harassment". We will not play there again.
Por el precio,es un buen lugar los carros de golf estan en exelente condiciones,y la comida,no es mala,lo unico es la mesera,no es amigable, pero bueno por el precio,de 24.99.no es mala la idea de pasar,un buen momento
