...I can't imagine a better deal for $8 than the two hours of lessons (great teachers) topped by the opportunity to really dance with the partners you just practiced with...and then a stoll outside and down the beach with your favorite!

I have attended several events at this location for a multitude of reasons throughout the years and never ever have been disappointed... from formal dances, weddings, health fairs, art events, Halloween parties, volunteer appreciation parties, etc. The building has a special art deco quality that can be easily transformed into the theme of whatever special event it hosts. The bartenders are always cordial and professional, the seating & tables are top notch, the band shell is nostalgic, beautiful crystal chandeliers, gorgeous beach view at night and daytime of Boca Ciega Bay. You cannot miss with this location.

Wonderful show, hear they also have great dances but don't expect a casino! This building was converted long ago to serve many different purposes. Close to many shops, restaurants, the pier, and beach.

After a wonderful dinner at the "La Côte Basque Wine Warehouse" restaurant our group of 15 continued on to the Casino for the end of the year party. A great success! Very nicely decorated, a nice band and very good DJ for dancing, the geko dropped at midnight. Music, balloon hats, party hats, hot hors d'oeuvres and champagne... a wonderful time was had by all!

My wife and i have been holidaying in st petersburgh for 24 years and did not know gulf port was there,we were driving towards 34th yesterday as a get lost trip when we saw the signs for gulf port historic district,so we went,what a place,the ballroom was fab,very 30s,andn the area surounding was like being in the keys.we go back to uk on friday but gulfport is top of our list when we visit next september

My son & his fiance got married here last weekend. They had both the ceremony & reception inside & there was plenty of room for both. it is easy to decorate & John (the coordinator) was a great help. The bartenders were amazing & the drinks reasonably priced.

$7.00 admission for a Sunday night - this included 2 hours of dance instruction which was quite informative. Drinks are reasonable, clean restrooms and there are even drawings for door prizes. Spacious facility!

The Gulfport Historic Casino and Ballroom is a dream space for a wedding reception. My partner and I had our marriage ceremony, dinner, and awesome dance-party reception all together at this venue, and there could have been no more perfect space in the Tampa Bay Area to make it all happen. Jon and his staff there are a dream to work with, open and accomadating to making vision a reality, and everyone who attended gushed at the views, the ability of the room to transform to make anything happen, and the historic significance of the space we were able to share. Anyone looking to celebrate and work with good people, have fun, and use a versatile and attractive venue should very, very much consider looking no further than the Gulfport Casino!!!!

The Casino is such a beautiful eclectic building and I love the great dance floor with a nice bar off to the side. There are windows all around and one can see much of the water views. It is pleasant to walk out onto the beach or walk down the street in this cool little town and area. But, there is no gambling so don't worry about losing any money, unless you are having a wedding party there.

Everyone assumes that the building is a casino for gamble, unfortunately it is not. The Casino is located on the beach blocking a beautiful view onto the bay when driving down the Boulevard. It is an 1950' building many locals seem to find charming. Not much thought has been given to this architectural "jewel of pride" as the outside appears to be all covered in a faded green. We have been to a wedding once and the inside was decorated nicely and appeared festive at night for the occasion. During the day the architecture appears completely outdated, but we have friends who go there for Salsa, tango & ballroom dance lessons which are offered during the week.

We recently visited this great venue for a wedding. It's a beautiful place for a wedding reception. It's right on the water with great views of the area. Very large and it looks as though it has been recently renovated. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to host either a wedding or party here.

The Casino is located right on the beach in the heart of Gulfport. It's a beautiful building with charm & lots of history. It is a wonderful spot for an event such as a wedding or large party with a stage, restrooms, large bar, & great views of Boca Ciega Bay. The city holds important community meetings there as well as hosting special concerts with local orchestras during the holidays. Salsa, swing, tango & ballroom dance lessons are held during the week too. Everyone assumes that the building is a gambling casino, however it has never been used for that.

The Casino, as we call it, is a wonderful dance hall (one of the largest in the U.S.) with dance events almost every day! It also is available for rental for major events like wedding receptions or charity and company events.There are dance lessons and public ballroom dances most days of the week. Its most charming aspect is its views of the beach and sail boats from three sides! Admissions prices are very reasonable.
