First visit to find a well rated eatery Somewhat difficult to find ones way around.Clean, well kept grounds, ample parking....Beautiful architectural buildingDelight the senses ⭐️
We've been going to Gulfstream race track for years. Lots of improvements have been made with the track site ans surrounding area. Shops, restaurants, a beautiful fountain that is gorgeous during the Christmas and Chanukah season with lights on the big Christmas tree, music, lighting of the huge menorah. It interesting to sit in the viewing stand outside the track to see the horses and their riders.Watching the colorful fish in the enormous fish tank inside the casino a pleasant diversion, especially if you're not a big gambler. They have a very nice horse related gift shop, prices are fairly reasonable. The restaurant and small eateries within the track area are good. And there are plenty of restaurants just off the track sites - all kinds of ethnic foods.Early Saturday mornings around 8AM, a free tram tour, first come first served, is given by a staff member. It is a great explanation of the origin of Gulfstream and interesting information about the horses and the care they are given. So even if you don't want to bet on a race or gamble, there are lots of things to do.
Gulfstream Park is a historic track that has been updated to include every amenity possible. It is an incredibly fun way to spend an afternoon even if you are not betting. They run on both dirt and turf and they still do the full spectacle parading the horses for the paddock walk. It sounds odd but there really are a lot of things to see and do, not even counting the casino or the shops and restaurants. Can’t wait to go back.
You are guaranteed to find something to entertain you even if its just people watching. We went with friends and some shopped some gambled at the casino and some went to the races. Afterwards we met up at the circle where they parade the exquisite thoroughbred horses and we went to dinner at Frankies - greatest burger you will ever get!
We were looking for someplace to go to kill a couple of hours before going to the airport and someone suggested this place. Wev were told that a trolley from Hollywood Beach would take us right there. Couldn't find a trolley so we taxied over. This is a very boring place with slots( a few) and a place to bet on the horses(but not on that day). All kinds of elderly laid back folks around in lineups for fast, cheap food. We asked several people for directions and information but we couldn't get much of anything helpful. One person even told us she didn't know because she wasn't from there even though she was behind the counter where you place your bets. I joked to my wife that there must be a heist taking place. We think we found out that there were no buses coming and going from the place so we took a taxi back to our hotel. Over all just a waist of time except that now I know never to go back there or to reccommend it to anyone. End of story!
I went there while I was vacationing in Hallandale. Gulftream is a small city within a city, so there are shops, a casino, horse races, restaurants, parks, etc and plenty of easy parking.I was early enough to see the horses as they were paraded in the courtyard. I don't play or bet but that was something new to me and I enjoyed it. Then, we went shopping, loved it for this are shops for every taste and budget, some are actually quite affordable (clothes are $20 or less) and a little crazy and fun. There is also the really high end boutique where you can find the most exquisite of whatever. As it was getting late, we ate at the HouseYard and loved their patio and the food. There's a Texas of Brasil and another 5* restaurant on top of the 4-5 less expensive choices. But on a Thursday, we opted for less expensive fare.Spend a afternoon/evening there, it's well worth it.
Enjoyed a relaxing afternoon watching thoroughbred horses and making a few small bets. It's free to get in and there is a small amount of tables and chairs to sit at for no charge. The day we went it wasn't crowded, but I'm sure those seats are hard to come by on a busy day. They are also in the sun, so if it's really hot out, you will have to pay to sit in the shade. There is a tent with free seating but it is around the curve past the finish line so the view can't be that good. We did not use those seats. If you want your own seat you can pay from $2 up depending on the view. Don't eat any of the food sold on the track. It's expensive and everything we had was terrible.
we had fun with the family and this Gulfstream, (not in the casino) just outside. We listen to the light show with music and walk around the restaurant area.
Does not matter if you gamble or not, Gulfstream park is a fun way to spend the day. Free admission and parking, a beautiful shopping mall, great restaurants and very clean, warm atmosphere. We took two seats in the $2/each section just after the finish line and were able to watch all the races with shade and good views. Bet a few dollars on several of the races and won a bit of cash! Had lunch at the Yard and it was delicious! Go early, first race starts at 12:30 and take some time to walk around and enjoy people watching and check out the shops and restaurants.
Where all the big horses, jockeys, and trainers go to escape the New York cold. Major races for horses during the beginning of the year's campaign. Also big prep races for the Kentucky Derby.
Even if you are not a horse player or gambler, a day at Gulfstream Park is great fun. The park is beautiful with ample free parking and free entry to the park. They have added a beautiful shopping mall with high-end shops. The restaurants are wonderful, small beer & refreshment carts, friendly to any pocket book. There is a beautiful casino if that is your vice and ofcourse, great horse racing. A really fun and exciting day.
Nice place... very modern, clean and neat... very good cuban music at night !!!Aparently also a very safe place to be at.
For the last ten years we have been going to Hollywood Beach or Ft. Lauderdale for a week in February flying down from Philly. Always tried to catch a early evening flight home, but always found the last day difficult to plan with checking out and all until we came upon Gulfstream Park. We check out usually around 12 most of the time getting an extra hour from hotel ,pack the rental car up and head Gulfstream. Parking is free and entrance is free also. The place is beautiful! there is a shopping mall (high end) Casino and Race track. We start off by getting a program ,checking out the track and watching the horses for the next race parade through the main entrance way to the park while sipping on a cold drink and then betting and watching a few races. Then for a late lunch with some delicious craft beers outside at the Yard House where you can still see the parade of horses before each race with the odds board in the background. People watching also great especially near the valet, some of the cars coming in incredible $$$$$. After a few races we head into the Casino for a little slot play then back to the track. From there a little window shopping at the mall then back to the car and to the airport which just a short hop north. Great way to finish our week in Fla.
Come early. Walk through the village and shop the wide variety of shops for clothing and household merchandise. Have lunch in one of the many resturants. Go to the track and try to pick a winner. Go to the casino and try to win at something. Go to dinner at one of the resturants. Enjoy!
Definitely try out rok burger, paladar Latin cuisine, yard house and brio has a great happy hour. I love shopping at charming Charlie and the track is great during this season!
