This is my favorite golf course, very challenging. Not flat like most of the golf courses in West Palm Beach. My best scores are on this golf course.

This is not the course to play in the rain, nor shortly after. The drainage needs to be improved. The 8th and the 12th holes are a challenge.

I had a morning off so I thought I would get in a round. Several friends told me that "The dump" was an interesting track and worth the drive to Lake Worth. I called the pro shop at around 8am. It rang for about 5 minutes and was answered with. "Park Ridge, hold!" I was on hold for another 10 minutes and greeted with, "Pro shop, Addie." I asked if there was a twosome or threesome I could get paired up with and was told singles couldn't make tee times. Addie then told me I would have to come out and take my chances. I told her I had to work in the afternoon and did she think I would get out? Addie, obviously irritated said, "As a single I can't put you in." I drove up from Deerfield anyway, 30 miles. When I got to the course I went to the starter and asked how the tee times were running. He said that he had just sent out a three about 15 minutes earlier. I told him I didn't mind skipping a couple of holes and catching up. "Oh no, the pro shop won't let you do that." "Why not?" "They just don't do that." I asked how long he thought it would be. He said he could get me out, "Pretty soon." I noticed his tee sheet was empty except for hand written fill ins. I asked him if there were any threesomes coming up and he said the pro shop didn't give him a filled in tee sheet. I went in the pro shop and asked about a round. Again I was told I couldn't make a tee time and that I would have to wait. I got a bucket and went to the range. I hit a bucket of balls and went to the putting green. Pretty nice range, by the way. The practice green is a little slow and kinda' pitted. The starter called me and said he had a three he could put me with. I went in to pay and Addie said, "No that's a foursome and their fourth just showed up." I went out and asked the starter what was up? He said the fourth was a walk on joining a three. I went back in the shop and asked Addie when the walk on got there, the starter obviously didn't know about him? Addie said, "He had a tee time." I asked, "I didn't think singles could book tee times?" "He did it on line." "So singles can book tee times on line?" (disgusted sigh) "YES" I again asked if there was any idea how long it would be. Addie rolled her eyes, "You're a SINGLE." Incidentally there was a gentleman in a blue Polo behind the counter that saw the exchange (Pro, Manager?) and never asked "Can I help?" I took my clubs to the car and drove home. I play a lot of golf and realize that a single in season in So Fla is rolling dice when it comes to getting in a round, but there is no excuse for being treated rudely. I never raised my voice or demanded anything. Addie was curt on the phone and even less hospitable in person. Not once did anyone say "Good morning, welcome to Park Ridge, how's it going?" Nothing. Had Addie bothered to tell me I could book a time on line I would have done so before I left the house. The starter was a little lost, not his fault. How can a starter manage a course if the pro shop won't even give him a tee sheet? I can't rate the course, I didn't play it. But the customer service is awful! Spend a few more bucks and go to a semi-private, at least they act like they care about their customers. By the way, we natives keep the lights on at courses in the area the 8 months of the year when the snow birds are up north. Probably not a good idea running us off.

This course offers a driving range and good customer service. The course was in good shape considering the grass was dormant. The greens weren't mowed very tight therefore they were pretty slow. The course was well maintained. The course is on a large hill, so it was very windy the day we played. We played as a foursome and the price was a decent deal compared to other muni's in that area. Would surely play again especially if the greens were a bit faster.

I have played "the dump" quite a few times and it is always fun, unique and challenging. Blind shots, great elevated tee off spots, decent greens and you've got a great day of golf. The crew is always friendly and helpful as needed, prices are quite reasonable (GolfNow.com) and the pace is usually good (3.5 - 4hr). As noted in some other reviews, the moisture level seems to be high except in the dead of summer when there has been no rain for a few weeks, but that's a small price to pay for this unique golf experience.

RoanTheRealtor

This has become a favorite stomping ground for my hub and his pals. The grounds are well kept and there are some "Hills" on the terrain. The price is comparable or better than most as well.

Mktpro99

Very fair course with several blind shots. Watch for very tall grass to lose balls. Better be straight than long!

This course is fun, challenging and like no other in PB county, that I know of. The cost was a great value and i will go again!

We apologize for the poor experience you had at Park Ridge Golf Course recently. There is no excuse for the poor customer service you received. This issue has been addressed with our staff. We are in the process of renovating the driving range tee at Park Ridge Golf Course and had added some mats to keep it open temporarily so golfers could warm up. We will completely close the tee this month and will have it back up and running with new hitting surfaces in November. During this period we will open an alternate tee for the driving range and will provide cart service to that tee. It is very upsetting that you had such a poor experience at our facility and I hope you will give us an opportunity to show you that this is not the norm for our golf operations. With that in mind I would like to invite you back to our facility again so that you can see that it is not the norm. If you are interested in coming back please give Manager, Phil Henry a call at 561-966-7044 so that we can make it up to you.

First off, I am not an experienced golfer and this course wasn't too bad. Had some challenges and was fun to play. It is a great use of space, as it appears to be a re-use of a old dump. The staff on-site was excellent and very helpful. The course is well maintained, although not perfect like other, more expensive courses. All-in-All I would gladly golf here again and would recommend to a friend.

Played Park Ridge last week on vacation. Signed up for their eclub and got a coupon immediately and paid $22 for the round and thought it was a great bargain. The course is a links style course and it is built on top of the old landfill and I did get a whiff of the vapors once. The course is in decent shape. Greens rolled smooth and were full but I thought they were a little slow. Fairways were being cut the day I played but there were alot of wet clippings on several of them. The course was very interesting and very unique. It has several pretty steep elevation changes and several blind shots. The fairways were rather wide and its a pretty forgiving and fun course but it would help to have played the course before so you knew where the hidden trouble was. I hit a few shots I thought to be pretty good shots only to get up near where it landed to find it was in the waste high weeds. The front is more laid out in front of you and the elevation changes are more subtle except on 8 which has a 90 foot drop from the 150 marker to the fairway. It is the back were things become much more hidden and difficult. All in all its a good value and a good place for a fun round.

This is a very interesting course with wide fairways, 6 par 3, 4, & 5's. They white, blue, and gold tee boxes along with the ladies red. They have a few challenging holes on the front and back nine. Well worth the time to play a few rounds and get the feel of it.

This used to be a dump.. Literally a landfill. It was filled and then converted to a county golf course. On certain days when it rains the night before and the wind blows just right the essence of the course becomes more apparent and it smells a little funky. Because the course was a landfill the designers were able to play with the elevation changes which gives it something that South Florida lacks. There is a driving range, large putting and chipping green as well as a bunker to practice out of. The rates are competitive but it is often difficult to get a morning tee time.

Great shape, very scenic holes. this is the best value you will find in Palm Beach. Go Play!!!!!!!!!!

I have played a lot of courses in Florida and this course was a real surprise. Great greens. Some of the best I have played on a public course. Interesting layout as it has elevation changes unlike most courses in Southern Florida. Some tough holes but fair. Have fun!
