Not a golfer, so I can't review the course. But the restaurant catered my wedding party and they did an outstanding job. Excellent food, excellent service and an excellent value.
While in the Orlando area, we are always looking for bargains, especially for golf. So we took up on the offer for golf and lunch for $31.50--wow, what a deal! The cheeseburgers and tea were great. The golf, well, not so hot. Except for a few holes, the course is in terrible shape, and I am being kind. The fairways are sort of ok, there is hardly any grass in the rough areas, and the traps are not too good. The people are really nice, and the prices are very good, for the not so good golfer who might not care. There are a couple holes that are really pretty, but just a couple. Like so many courses around the country it is obvious that the economy which has taken its toll on the middle class, and the decline in play around the country due to lack of interest, or money, has hurt this golf course as is the case all over the golfing world. It is sad to see!
Old Florida Track. Winds through old subdivision. Not great but not bad either, rates very good. Nice restaurant with daily lunch specials
Course needs some attention to. Nice club house. Greens very challenging and needs more work on but you can tell they are trying to get course in better shape. Not an easy course to play and when gets back to good shape it will be an enjoyable track to play. I hate to be to critical because it is understandable with todays economy how local courses are struggling. At least they do not over charge you in advance whgich would really upset the clientel. Would I play the course again.....sure would. Staff very nice and pace of play was good. Give it a try....
Excuse me, when do they put the cattle out to pasture. This course holds a special distinction for me. It's the worst golf course I've ever played. It beat out the first course I ever played which was in Illinois. That course was a farmers pasture converted to a golf course...well kinda. Incidentally that was 55 years ago and hundreds of course since then.I'd rather play Wii golf.
When we first arrived, we were a little hesitant about the condition of the course due to the apparent age of the pro shop. The front nine, however, (all we played) was very well kept on the greens and fairways. The last few holes wound through some picturesque FL neighborhoods and were very pleasant. The only downside, as a visitor, was the age and condition of the rental clubs. They were "vintage" at best. At least this gave us an excuse for any poor shots!
