Paul was our tour guide, he was extremely informative and personable. We absolutely loved our tour through the mangroves and the picnic provided by Adventure Times. Steven the owner was so helpful, we didn't give him a lot of time to squeeze our tour in, but he made it happen. If we ever go back to Florida we will definitely go back to Steven and Paul at Adventure Times! Thanks guys! Shay and Jeff from Kansas City.
Adventure Times now only rents rotomolded sit on tops and paddle boards. Paddling a sit on top is like pushing a log don't waste your money.
Our day at Peanut Island was perfect. Since we were the only people kayaking to Peanut Island Steve made a special trip to his Riviera Beach Marina location to set us up for our day of kayaking and snorkeling. He gave some great advice about where to kayak and snorkel. Although we booked a 1/2 day he said there was no hurry to get back on time. That was a nice touch and appreciated.Gave us information on Peanut Island and where to put our stuff when we got there. He was right ... we left our things under one of the picnic shelters while we snorkeled and everything was fine. There are a lot of fish to see around the various rock formations. HOWEVER, be sure to check the tides. We were lucky that the tide was in when we arrived and went snorkeling. A few hours later you could walk to some of the outcroppings. As for the island itself, we took the 1.2 mile walk around the island. Lots of nice views along the walk. On top of it all everything from the restrooms to the picnic shelters were very clean.Grab a kayak and some snorkel gear and have fun!
I did not personally use the paddle boards or kayaks here, but did accompany my nephew and his friend to rent paddle boards for the day. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, good at instructing newbies in using the equipment, and very accommodating. The equipment is in good shape and the prices are reasonable. They are located right on the Earman River, so you can put in right there and return from the water. From that location, there are several routes you can take for fun kayaking and paddle boarding depending upon your level of expertise.
I have used Adventure Times several times. First to rent kayaks to see if I wanted to own one, but also for my son's birthday party.Located on the Earman River in North Palm Beach, Adventure Times provides excellent water based fun. Technically, though, the Earman River is actually a canal from Lake Okeechobee, so don't get visions of an idyllic shaded river. But also don't let it dissuade you. Adventure Times provides all the equipment you need to go for a kayak trip, either through the residential waterfront areas of North Palm Beach, or across Lake Worth to Munyon Island and the estuary there. The Munyon Island area is a true back-water estuary filled with birds (especially in the winter), fish, and even dolphin. Great snook fishing. Near Adventure Times itself the water generally has loads of eagle rays. There is so much to see. The owner and crew at Adventure Times are friendly and very, very helpful. They fit you with a proper life jacket, and even put the kayak in the water for you. The kayaks are all a year or less old, I believe. They sell the used kayaks once a year (that is how I bought mine). Never kayaked before? No problem. A few quick lessons and you are off.Bring lots of water with you. Florida sun and exercise will drain you quickly.
Had a great time today on my first try at paddle boarding! Great location especially for a beginner. Good price, good instruction, local business. I would recommend to all.
My wife and I have tried to do business with this company a few different times, and after 2 orders that were never placed, we decided to go elsewhere. Frankly I think the office girl smokes too much of her own incense and forgets to place the orders. There are too many other options out there to deal with forgetful people.
Eco Tourism and Kayak Rental- In West Palm Beach, Florida there is a fantastic kayak shop. The name of this shop is Adventure Times Kayak. At Adventure Times Kayak, they offer great new, used, and rental kayaks. With brands like Hobie Cat. Which we all remember from camp. They are on North-lake Blvd, just west of Federal Highway. We you arrive there and I couldn't believe that this place was right on the water. They just built a new 10,000 facility and a brand new dock out back. I took the two girls and my wife. No one in the family had ever done anything like this before. We show up in the morning ready to go. Of course you need too call a head to make sure there were enough kayaks. So we got one double seater for the wife and myself, and two single ones for the two girls. And Steve the owner of the shop got us all geared up. Showed the girls the proper way to paddle in a sea kayak, showed them a few tricks, and then off we went. We went down the river behind the shop on Northlake Blvd down to the intercoastal. From there we paddled to Mutton Island. There we just had such a blast. We saw a few turtles, tons of fish, birds, and other wild life. Then the whole family kept paddling to Peanut Island. That was incredible too. Adventure Time does have actual Eco tours but we didn't get on one, next we will for sure. But still we had one of the most wonderful family afternoons that I can ever remember. The family loved being outside playing together, getting some color, seeing the beauty of nature. And no harm to the environment either. I think I will be a kayaker for the rest of my life now. I only wish someone had pointed me to this earlier in life. Maybe I will do that for someone myself.
