I stopped here yesterday on my way to my studio and I found the best beets, onions, and peppers. I didn't arrive until the end of the market, so there were only a few stands open. I did manage to pick up a few items for my salad. I can't wait to go back next Sunday. I'm not sure what the hours are except for they shut down at 3pm. It's also a really beautiful spot. You can stop there then go down the road and stop at Wayside Market. The prices can't be beat, not the typical eye gouging prices at Farmer's Markets in the city.

Everything you need in a farmers market and a little bit extra. Sustainably grown produce, ready to eat taste treats and knowledgeable vendors and farmers. Passion for what they sell and conviction it is the best is what I look for in a Farmers Market and Pinecrest delivers. With only one Sunday in our vacation this was a real treat added on to our visit to the Gardens. Sorry I won't enjoy those lovingly made empanadas or be kindly introduced to the joys of eating ripe star fruit. V&B Farms, a 4th generation family farm in Homestead FL sustainably grows a wide variety of great looking produce including organics. The son knows his business and the land he tills.

Ok, I'll rant and rave about the delicious rugula, artisan bread, ceviche and ginger hibiscus drink but the creme de la creme is the living food sandwich. It's this special bread prepared this special way and its raw or whatever but I could care less about that. Read my reviews, healthy lifestyle isn't my priority. That said, the taste is out of this world. It's a curry prepared thing with tomatoe, avocado, spinach and a "bread" that looks like the sole of a shoe. It's absolutely fantastic. It's definitly the best tasting healthy thing I've ever had. Must must try. ok, the market is small but full of delicious goodies and fairly priced items. living color nursery is great. Beautiful bromeliads and orchids. The saleswoman is very nice and knowledgable. Takes special orders. The location of the market is shady and pretty. If you want to see the grounds (market is in the parking lot of pinecest gardens, formerly known as parrot jungle) it's just $5. Worth the walk.

Great place to spend a nice Sunday afternoon. The Farmer's Market is wonderfully filled with fresh fruit, vegetables and gorgeous fresh flowers. The garden's are a bargain at the $5 entrance fee. You can take a leisurely walk and get lost among the beautiful trees, open area, and picnic area. Nice to take a picnic lunch and just sit and enjoy a bit of nature nestled in the middle of a beautiful residential community.

Extremely pleasant environment in the banyan tree-shaded parking lot of the former Parrot Jungle. The French baker (great pizza, pastries, & bread) at the south end and the veggie/fruit market at the opposite end are the best.

I can't get enough of this place. The sampling food, the people, the food, the atmosphere and yes the FOOD. It can be pricey, you have to know the value of what you r getting of u can pay too much. My family fav things to eat are the brick oven pizza, fresh lemonade and Carmel popcorn. Great place to eat with fam (and pets) vs eating at a restraurant. It's something different.

City government changed the management of the market which harmed everyone. The vendors are mad and the people that come to the market are mad. There was never a reason to fix what wasn't broken. It's now broken!

My toddler and I made a trip to Pinecrest Gardens and the market was awesome. We sampled a variety of foods and had a tasty dragon passion fruit smoothie. The produce was mostly fresh and you had a chance between local grown or organic. There is also conch fritters for $6. Good place for morning or afternoon walk. We loved it

LOVE this place! It is at Pinecrest Gardens, aesthetically beautiful with gorgeous shade trees covering all the little booths. I find all my organic, fresh produce here for less than whole foods and much fresher. I picked up strawberries last time that still had soil on them, when I asked why there was still soil they told me they had just picked them from the Earth at 4 am! They were sold to me at 9 am....cant get fresher than that! The people are nice and the smells of all the food is wonderful. Get there early because the later it gets, the more crowded and hotter it is. You will enjoy yourself and bring lots of cash $$..hope this review helps you!

I love going to the Pinecrest Farmer's Market on Sundays. It really does have something for everyone- food, produce, gift items and a great ambience. If you go early, it's not crowded and parking is easy. If you go a bit later in the morning, you may have to walk a bit from the on street parking, but it's not a big problem. There are often new vendors which is also fun.

This market seems to have expanded again since previous years. The variety has spread out beyond fruits and veggies quite a bit. There are now several bakers, pastas, oils, fresh fish, chocolatier and several places with prepared food. My best find was an Islamorada fisherman; I’d gotten some prawns that were about ¼ pound each, amazing. It’s best to go early, shop and then stay for lunch. After we stopped for opening weekend we walked through the attached gardens with are always worth the couple bucks for admission.
