Sundays at 3:00 watch world-class polo at IPC in wellington. Have champagne and replace the divots at half-time. a game takes two hours and general admission is just $10. Dont miss it!
This is one of the most amazing glorious brunch experiences--endless high quality buffet, people watching and fashion extravaganza, champagne popping everywhere, friendly service, and right on the edge of the polo field! Truly a unique experience.
We have lived in the area for a while and finally were able get out and see our first polo game. It was a wonderful experience. Friendly staff and nice grounds. The game was a lot of fun overall. Drinks, notably the champagne, were a bit pricey; however, that was expected. We will definitely go again. A must do for any local that enjoys a relaxing afternoon watching a unique and classic game.
Polo on Sunday's is a must do! The culture and lifestyle is classic! From the amazing mimosa brunch to the very athletic Polo Players its non stop fun. Plus it's a great reason for ladies to wear our hats and the gentlemen to wear seersucker.
On Sunday, January 25, my husband, daughter, son-in-law and I attended the brunch. This was our fourth attendance at Polo. This time, we received an email that there was room available for brunch with a partial view so we bought tickets. Upon arrival, and after getting our wristbands, it was a little chaotic once inside since there was no hostess directing clientele where to receive your table seating. After wandering for a few minutes, I asked a lady named "Barbie" and she instructed us to line up in order for her to help us. We obliged. We received our table and the view is obstructed, limited view at best, but only if you stand up. We were disappointed. However, the food made up for it. Several nice selections were available. We enjoyed the tuna, flat-bread stations and steak station, to name a few. A delicious dessert bar was great! We received 3 drink tickets each and enjoyed the bubbly! We also purchased a bottle of Veuve Cliquot! At this time, we attempted to go outside to get a better view of the game. "Barbie" immediately approached us and told us we could not go outside because we would block the view of the seated guests at the outside tables. We returned inside, but could not see the game. Around 4:00 p.m., we were asked to leave our table and go to the field for the divot stomp and also for the servers to set up seating for the after-party. My son-in-law asked Barbie if we could be upgraded to outside seating once the brunch was over and people leave their tables to move around. She said she would try. We waited patiently as she upgraded others that were seated inside. My son-in-law tried one last time to approach her and she extended her hand to him not to approach her. Very rude gesture. We decided to give up. At this point, a few tall tables and chairs had been set up in the lounge for the after-party. I checked with our server regarding the seats and was told we could sit anywhere. The tall tables were occupied. Great, all of the seats were totally empty so we sat down. Here comes Barbie again and told us we could not sit there because it was bottle service only. No problem I told her, we will buy another bottle of champagne. Barbie then responded, it was a 2 bottle minimum. At this point, we were disappointed again, and made our way to the exit. For us, 3 drinks each and a bottle of champagne is more than enough to experience. I understand we could have stood the entire time, but we would have preferred to be seated. In order to be seated, I think other options should be available instead of a mandatory 2 bottle minimum. Especially, having already purchased a bottle of champagne. There are laws for drinking and driving over the limit. Also, Barbie was the wrong person for such a visible, client-relations position. Each client should walk away feeling great whether paying $10 or $400. The difference is made with the best personnel. I know it doesn't matter, but we probably will not attend again.
Terrific afternoon watching polo & having an incredible brunch. This venue is great for family, friends or a special occasion. Brunch is $100 a person & includes 3 drinks or champagne. The assortment, variety & quality of food is very good. They keep it out until the half so you have plenty of time to eat, drink & relax. Valet parking $10 or self park for free. Put on a cool outfit & have fun!
This is quite a scene in the " season " January onwards and it also has some of the best Polo in the worlds. There are very good announcers if you don't understand Polo and access is easy. $ 10 for parking and not much more for the " cheap seats " or you can get out your Platinum card and sit with the rich and famous. Either way you will have a great afternoon.
Sunday afternoon and a picnic a great glass of wine and the Palm Beach Polo crowd. I'll keep coming back after 27 years.Thank you Polo.
Bring sunscreen, canopy tent (if tailgating). Tickets start at $10.00 for metal bleachers in the direct sun. The restrooms are across the field next to the brunch tent. There is free champagne and ice cream during the divot stomp.
One can't say enough about the beautiful setting. The large well appointed restaurant has a large patio area. It's well laid out on the side of an enormous pool, all set deep off a small lane. However, we found the service, while gracious, was very slow. It took near an hour for our entrees to arrive. Our meals were okay, but given the high prices, not as good as we were anticipating. The wine list is long with a full range of pricing...but skewed to the high side.Yes it's a private club, so the clientele have a few bucks, but that doesn't obviate the need to perform at a higher level. By the way, we were there on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was near empty. I wonder if others feel a bit underwhelmed, as we did.
If you are looking for an upscale place - this is the place for you. Food is excellent. Great facilities. Wonderful setting. A great place to visit in Wellington, FL.
very laid back dining with wide range of entrees, good wine selection and also dessert selections. like casual atmosphere.
Great food, staff and polo match. Took friends there and had a very enjoyable sunday brunch. never having gone before it was an amazing experience
I can't say anything about the polo aspect of this club as I was attending a private function. However, they did have a couple of horses with young men that put on a demonstration while we sipped drinks and ate of passed hors'deouvres. we then had a very fine catered meal under a tent. All in all a great experience.
Came here for Brunch on a Sunday and was expecting to have a nice day of brunch and polo. The match itself was great. The brunch not so much, very disorganized seating, loud and rambunctious. The food itself was fine, a good selection but not amazing. Did not feel a relaxed atmosphere, it felt chaotic.
