world of beer

This is an alright place. They had indoor and outdoor seating. We were promptly seated and our beverage selections were taken. The service was really good. I ordered a chipotle cheese bacon burger. Wouldn't you know it, they were out of the chipotle cheese so I settled for a bacon cheese burger. It was really big and very juicy. Really good. Wife had a grilled cheese sandwich. It was also very tasty. We would return.

We have been here frequently with the same results. The beer selection is unbeatable. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. The food is tasty (especially the shrimp and flatbreads). We have even joined the loyalty club.

Well, of course the various beers were good. (Just open your wallet wide!) But eat someplace else because our lunch was spectacularly awful. Loaded potato soup was loaded with water and very little else, including potatoes. Sent it back. Our other app choices were the onion rings (edible) and then a plate of soft, cold, greasy tater tots covered with cheese, jalapenas and sour cream. Another send back. So we cancelled our burgers and left. Guess this is one place where everybody won't know our names!

True, they have a lot of beer, and must plan on people drinking so much that they don't care what they are ordering for food. I ordered the "steak frites" that are listed to come with "hand cut fries" - well they were some machine cut frozen fries - BIG disappointment. The steak was ok, nothing special. My husband ordered the Italian flat bread, which was good. The people at the table next to us were not happy with their food either, and only ate part of it. If you want beer - go here, go somewhere else to eat!

Awesome selection of beers and gine food. Recommend wings, flatbread pizza and especially shrimp. Everyone at bar is friendly and helpful,especially Ben. If you are in the area stop in.

OK - the good news is that the atmosphere is very attractive. The selections of beer are amazing - over 500 to choose from. Service is prompt and friendly and the food is quite good (bar food style). What's the bad? It is expensive - very expensive with beer (albeit exotic flavor choices like "blueberry" or "cherry" etc ) running north of $6 for a glass. Nice place to see and visit, but you wouldn't want to live there.

Wife Ann and I stopped in at Brownwood Padox Square in The Villages, FL to try out WOB. The outside of the place looks good and so does the inside as you walk up, then you realize the table inside are to close together, the noise level is LOUD...echo echo echo, they allow smoking on the outside bar and of course the cigar folks light up and the entire place stinks of cigar, if you like cigar you are ok, if not it is hell. There is no food to speak of, just beer, well that is ok since it is WOB. We had a pret with our beer, the pret was great, nice and large, hot, dipping sauce that was great. The beer we orderd based on the menu was not what we thought it would be based on the discription, told the waitress who said sorry, maybe you will try another beer and you may like it better! Doubt we will be back there, sad since it is new. Price for pret and beer was good.
