Amazing works of glass art in many forms. A bit disappointing if you've been to a museum exhibit (as I had) as much is duplicated. But if you've never seen his work, definitely worth a visit.

Good news first. There is ONE lady docent who is really nice and very knowledgeable. The entire rest of the people working there are morose, mean and have horrible attitudes. That coupled with the entrance fee being ridiculous for the VERY small museum, there is little reason to pay good money for a lousy experience. They REALLY need to tell those jerks in the ticket office to move on out. Immediately. Chihuly is amazing. Wait to see his collections at another venue. They travel around. We saw an outstanding one at our local botanic garden.

This is a small museum that you can see in 30 minutes with not much walking but it has exceptional glass art. It's also in a very nice location close to the water and restaurants.

We've already been to Tacoma and Seattle Chihuly exhibits, and this one is small by comparison. However, the docent we had was very knowledgeable and told us a lot of information that we never knew about Chihuly. The docent made the $14.95 entrance fee worthwhile.

I had heard of the Chihuly which houses glass art from the Chihuly Collection. I had no real expectation what to expect. Each room was more stunning than the next, and it just filled you with awe at every turn. Most surprising was the exhibit of original (I think acrylic) artwork on canvas. I love contemporary art and bright and bold statements on canvas. I wish I had more time to spend at this Chihuly but we were meeting friends for dinner.I will most definitely visit again when the opportunity arises.

Very nice collection but much smaller than expected. They run tours and there are docents available if tours are not scheduled - definitely make use of this to get better perspective of what you see. This collection is what I would have expected a a traveling exhibit in a larger museum (at no extra cost). Given the size, the charge should have been much less. Spent about 45 minutes including tour and that was more than sufficient.

Beautiful, but small collection of Dale Chihuly glass. Kind of expensive but we enjoyed our time ($15 each).

This was a beautiful exhibit of his work. You can combine the admission ticket with the admission to the glass blowing studio but unfortunately the tours started at 1 and we didn't have time

The pieces were amazing! Beautiful and rich with color. Amazing contemporary works of art, only wish there were more to see. Very small collection.

My friend and I have wanted to visit the Chihuly Collection for a while now and today we finally made it there! Yes, it's $15 to get in and yes, you can finish your visit in 30 minutes. We actually paid $20 for the"St. Petersburg Experience" that include the Hot Shop demo and I thought $20 was worth it.We did our first view of the museum in about 30 minutes but we each brought our SLRs so we ended up doubling back to view everything again. We took our time looking at each piece; we saw some details we hadn't earlier. The pieces are bright and bold. You'll say "Wow" quite a bit. If you have a camera, bring it! The lighting in the museum is amazing and your pictures really pop. (Don't forget to put your camera down occasionally though to take it all in though). It really was a beautiful collection. After the museum we had lunch near by then drove to the Hot Shop. It's about 11 blocks away (6 minute drive). We arrived just in time for the demo and it was unexpected. It wasn't more than 15 minutes but it was really neat to see the process in front of you. We enjoyed that it made the day come full circle.

If you love colour and beautiful shiny objects, be absolutely sure to take the 45 minute tour of this beautiful place. Not only is the collection breath-taking but the building itself is an art piece. Our volunteer guide, Mirela, was enchanting, knowledgable and enthusiastic and made the tour a perfect compliment to the collection of stunning pieces. The tour itself (definitely worth taking) is only 45 minutes so add a few more minutes to go back and take pictures and you can still manage a visit here if you are pressed for time. There is street parking all around ($1/hour) with the waterfront directly across the street. If you're lucky, you'll encounter the Birdman of St. Petersburg sitting with his fishing rod and feathered companions.Do not miss the Chihuly.

Blown glass would not have been my first choice to art medium when choosing museums, but it was for my companion. I found the works appealing and well presented, in a small museum that you can cover adequately in less than an hour. The artist's technical ability is clearly at the virtuoso level. There was a DVD playing in the gift shop that showed how some of the work is done.Funds from the gallery are used to support the work of the local arts centre.

I brought a friend here What a wonderful place the glass is fabulous. What imagination to create all these sculptures Well worth visiting maybe not with children.

We have seen glass blowing done and glass blown works, but never anything like this. The guest artists' display in the lobby area added a great deal to the experience with exceptional pieces of artistry. Some were not "blown" but done by other means. The most interesting and outstanding of the Chihuly Collection was ; just one style flower done in different colors or sizes. This collection is in a very small museum, but it had a large price: $18.00 per person. Only having the additional artists' works made it worthwhile. The gift shop was poorly done; nothing representative of his works: Unattractive t-shirts, plain heavy navy mug with his name in red are examples.

Chihuly Museum was great- only wished it had been bigger.Guided tour was most informative- but I, having seen the Chihuly Exhibit at the Fairchild Botanical Gardens in Coral Gables, the indoor Museum was a bit of a let down. Chilhuly is best, I think, outdoors- but if you can't catch him amid the butterflies and pools at the Fairchild don't miss him at the Museum
