Again a very nice landscaped course like many in the Sarasota / Bradenton area. Like previous reviewers found this course challenging as a high degree of accuracy is needed on this course to score par. Eventhough challenging, found the facility was well maintained and the greens fast.Highly recommended.
Formerly a private club, this course layout seems designed to challenge low handicap players. Narrow fairways, lots of water and challenging greens make this a ball-eating golf course. High handicap players ( I'm an 18 H.I.) can find the layout frustrating, as there is a high penalty for not hitting straight. Otherwise, the course is in good shape, considering the volume of play that it gets. Staff are friendly and the kitchen makes decent sandwiches. Tip: Playing from forward tees takes some of the water out of play for higher handicap players.
My wife and I are in the Bradenton area while vacationing with some friends who recently purchased a home here. We are both single digit handicaps and love to get on private country clubs that have opened up some of their tee times to the public. Got a foursome tee time on Golf Now hot deals for only $38+taxes for each player. What an absolute bargain for this beautiful track. Front nine and first couple holes of back nine wind through the homesites and are very nice golf holes along with the homes. But the last 5-6 holes. WOW! No more homes and absolutely beautiful! They have one helluva great grounds crew because everything looks awesome. Course is in very very nice condition for December. Greens a little slow but who cares. A great round of golf was had by all. Unfortunately, the bar was closed when we got done because we really wanted to check it out and have a cocktail. This course is well worth a visit!!
Rosedale is a private course that has opened up a few tee times to the public. The 18 hole course is in pretty good shape. It's a narrow track with lots of challenging holes. The greens are fast so it's a humbling experience. I love this course and would recommend it!
A very attractive clubhouse with extremely pleasant staff from pro to marshals exceedingly friendly. If you don't like water don't play this course but if you are straight and fairly accurate it is most enjoyable. The second nine is by far the prettier of the 18 holes. The greens are tricky not only because of their speed but also their borrows. Not an expensive club to play and well worth the visit.
This is quite a tight course in places but interesting and in very good condition. Staff excellent and pace of play good. Would definitely play again.
(March 16th)After touring a potential home to buy,we had lunch at the restaurant. My husband left his reading glasses in the car and the lovely hostess offered him her own!! Our server,Patrick was very nice! My salad had a dressing that was sub-par and he quickly had it replaced with the proper dressing. We enjoyed the meal, atmosphere and service and hope that we will son be residents of this community!!THANK YOU!!
This is a very good course for a good price. Not long by today's standards, but tight and an interesting layout. Currently in very good shape.
If you want the private club experience in a place open to the public this is it. It is located in a private gated community and, while there are "Members Only" locations, the restaurant is open to the public, the food is very good, very reasonable priced and they take credit cards.
I was not aware that the Rosedale Country Club dining room was open to the public. I was invited, by a friend for lunch. The food is all prepared from scratch, the presentation was excellent, the quality was excellent, the environment was very pleasant and nice golf preserve views. I am told that the Sunday Brunch is well known and the chef has a great reputation. Based on my experience, I would believe them. The prices were reasonable and the service was very attentive. I am told that you should have reservations for dinner.
Lovely course in beautiful condition. Only down side is the narrow fairways...you have to be precise or you're in trouble. Makes for a lot of fun!
Our fiends took us to the club restaurant for dinner. They told us they hadn't tried it before and thought it would be a good spot. Wrong. There were three families having dinner in a room that would seat 10 times that number. Dinner came with a salad (so-so), a cook making pasta any one of a dozen ways (so-so) and dessert of petit fours and ice cream. (That was petit fours; more likely lemon squares.) Obviously, our friends were embarrassed by the poor quality food. Last time they, or us, will return.
Even in the winter it was well groomed and attended to. $40 for a round in the PM...lots of water and it looked good. Rental clubs were the same as green fees and that was a bit much. All in all a good course and I will return.
Great track. Nice layout, great conditions. Staff very friendly and helpful. Challenging for all golfers. Again, great conditions.
If you visit the Bradenton/Sarasota for golf, make this one of your stops. This course is well layed out, lots of water to make it interesting and challenging enough for all golfers. It is friendly for ladies and can be very challenging from the back tees. The customer service is great, we were greetd by a friendly and attentive staff team, given a nice course layout talk from the starter and used the practice facility for a good warm up. The course conditions were very good, greens ran true and pretty quick, the rough is not long so it is pretty easy to hit from. Well priced and located, this course is worth the money.
