dale earnhardt sr. statue

It's Mr. Earnhart but it's very sad to see it in person. I've lived on and off in Daytona Beach since 1973 so I remember those golden days of racing and to see this in person for the 1st time was very sad. I was living in Germany when he passed and now I'm back and it's just an eye opener as to what racing is, dangerous.

Nice to see a piece of racing history and a man who meant so much to the sport of racing. Miss him...

We always enjoy seeing the statue at Daytona International Speedway. Great memorial to a racing legend.

It is right outside the Daytona Speed Park and does not require a fee just to take picture of Dale Earnhardt Sr. If you dont have time for a full 90 minute tour but dont want to miss this attraction, you can come to the speedway, see the statue, take pictures, do the memory walk of all the winners, the gift shop and the race car parked right in the lobby. Still a good trip at a fast track..

It's a well done statue but more than that it's a tribute to probably the most unique driver NASCAR has yet produced. And if you're into geocaching it's a virtual geocache in the bargan.

All most all race fans will recognise the statue and who it is. Sort of a mecca for Nascar fans. Easier to visit during the off season, unless you like huge crowds.

A statue errected to celebrate the life and passion of a NASCAR legend. A nice tribute. Not much else in the area, exept a 2 & 1/2 mile super speedway in the back ground. Take the tour of the track....very worth it!

The statue of Dale Sr, who is a cornerstone of Daytona (Daletona) racing, is a wonderful tribute to an amazing race. It is located at the Daytona Speedway.

This statue is outside the Daytona International Speedway, near the gift shop. It's a very good likeness of Dale and his fans will enjoy seeing it when in the area.

Great rendition. Goosebumps! Emotional to realize you are just yards away from where he died. Easy cool to open you experience of Daytona.

Seeing the Dale Earnhardt Sr Statue does my heart good. Dale was my favorite driver and I miss him. Dale Jr is my favorite driver these days and I love watching him drive in Daytona.

You can view this free by just driving onto the speedway property. Just don't try it when there is a race because of traffic.

The statue is at the entrance to the visitor centre at the Raceway.Being English I didn't appreciate the feelings that people in the States felt for Dale Earnhardt, he was a great driver and is rightly celebrated with the excellent statue.

This statue brings back so many memories, good and bad. I watched his '98 victory and was so thrilled I came back to Daytona USA and saw his #3 car that won. It still had the good luck penny, given to him by a little girl with spina bifida, stuck to his dash. Happy times. Then there's Turn 4, February 18, 2001... Feels like it was yesterday. I'm still in disbelief. This is a deserving tribute to a legend. You can feel the spirit of "The Intimidator" here. This is now hallowed ground for me.

My boyfriend and I love nascar. The heritage behind the statue and the track in Daytona is a dream come true. I am a woman and I want more women to get into nascar.
