This was great, you got to go to the top of the lighthouse and walk around outside and take pictures.

It was a long way to the top but well worth it. The view was incredible. Coming down was a lot easier. The park around the area as nice.

After 25 years in Daytona, I never grow tired of the Ponce Inlet lighthouse. Not only is it worth an hour or two in its own right, but its parking lot can be a base for exploring lots of other attractions within a 10-15 minute walk -- such as the Marine Science Center next door (with turtle and seabird rehab facilities), the beach, nature walks, Down the Hatch, Lighthouse Landing and Inlet Harbor restaurants, the Critter Fleet dock and the lighthouse picnic grounds. Check the lighthouse web site for special events, such as evening hours during Full Moon periods. Lack of an elevator is the only drawback. The climb up the stairs is challenging for older folks....best to do it during morning hours while temperatures are cooler. But the great ocean breeze at the top will help revive you.

My husband and I visited the lighthouse in September and had a blast! My husband is a history nut and this site did not disappoint. We toured the gounds, keeper's home, and made the trek to the top of the lighthouse. It was truly breathtaking at the top.

I just enjoy looking at historic buildings and sightseeing. The buildings around the lighthouse are quite interesting to look at and read the history of the people that maintain the lighthouse or the years. Then when you get to the top of the lighthouse and get to look out over the ocean and the inter coastal water way it is such a beautiful view. Enjoy it when you can, it's worth the visit.

The lighthouse was easy to get to and provided plenty of parking. I liked the large park surrounding it. It was a really pretty lighthouse and had a nice gift shop.

A great place for sightseeing. Incredible view from the top. Short easy transit ride from Daytona Beach.

Great area to see some history of the Ponce Inlet, lighthouse and the ocean. Did all I believe it was 203 steps. The views are amazing as we had the perfect warm day to go. The marina next door is really nice as well to sit and have a snack. Everybody at the office/gift shop were very helpful and accommodating. Would go again!

Arrived 50 minutes before the listed closing time only to find the door closed into the lighthouse area. We were only able to view it from outside the fence. If you want to go, realize that they are open till 6, but you can't enter after 5.

We visited on one of their classic car days so had the best of both . The view from the light house is amazing but it was quite windy when we went so although perfectly safe it feels as though you could get blown away. Not for the faint hearted. The building give you a picture of life how it was years ago and are interesting.

It's a little spendy per person especially if you're a family. But there's plenty to see and do. Site buildings are small and can be quite crowded. Go early. VERY windy on top of lighthouse. Grab your hats!

There was a lot to do here besides climbing the Lighthouse. They have trails around the park as well as being able to go back in history on the grounds. The lighthouse is beautiful and if you make the trek to the top you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view.

Only for the fit ones if you plan on climbing all those stairs. Informative museum with knowledgable staff

If you are looking for something to do on a day that is not a beach day, this is a fun thing. It is a beautiful gift shop. The grounds are clean and there is a playground. I did not make the trip to the top, but my husband and children did. You would not need to go to the top more than once! You do have to pay to go into the lighthouse. I prefer to take free pictures standing outside the lighthouse!!
