gilligan's island bar & grill

Went here for breakfast and had a pineapple pancake the size of a Volkswagen tire! was very good, as was the coffee. A nice casual funky small retreat to kick back, listen to music, relax and cruise the Internet. They have comfortable couches.....

Three of us stopped for supper. The parking out back is great. The atmosphere is nice. The service was good. We each had fish tacos as there are different kinds on the menu. Each one of us was disappointed would not have the fish tacos again.

Service was good. Atmosphere was good. Food was good. Had the jerk chicken, it was a little dry, but had good flavor. Family all liked their meals. I would eat their again.

Five of us, including a curious 3 yr old, enjoyed a perfect dinner & evening at this restaurant! Thanks to a conscientious staff, great cooks! Also, enjoyed music while we dined & people watched as the evening progressed. The wings that were gone in minutes proved yummy as were the fried pickles that should win an award! Mahi-Mahi sliders were plumb & delicious! Everything perfect!

Had a late dinner and drinks with my wife and her brother and we had and average dinner. We weren't looking for anything special but the food was just ok and the drinks are drinks, so it's hard to mess up on that. I went went the coconut wings as a suggestion from the staff. I would not try that again nothing special. The biggest disappointment was the waiter. He was kind of a space cadet. We waited a long time for new drinks and the couple across from us had to order two drinks at a time because he took so long to come back and check on everybody. I wouldn't tell somebody not to go there because it could be a really fun place to go,but just not our visit. On a side note the guy doing the entertainment "use that word loosely" was bad. He made some inappropriate jokes that nobody laughed at and his signing wasn't much better. It's too bad I wanted to really like this place.

A fantastic place to hang out and have some good food and very pleasant times. A nice menu selection and friendly and Pleasant staff makes Gilligan's very enjoyable. I try and catch a Steelers game there when ever I can.

It was kind of halfway between where I was and the salon where she got her nails done. We turned up between lunch and dinner so no crowd to fight. We were seated right away and the waiter was delightful, very fun guy. Food was very good and drinks were good as well. This is definitely a bar atmosphere but suitable for children, wouldn't hesitate to bring mine here. They had just finished construction on a new thatched roof that really completes the look. Try this one out.

Love the island bar, drinks are cheap, food is great, atmosphere is great, it is a nice place and its on an island! What more could you ask for!

This is a really fun bar: great decor, really kitschy and some fantastic live music. The grill part of their title comes a distant second. The food is okay at best, nothing special. I ordered the fish tacos which arrived lukewarm, the same went for my husband's grilled halibut. We had been sitting on the front patio area but it was raining like cats and dogs that evening and splashing us all over the place so after the meal, we moved inside to listen to the music.Here's where things get fun. They have really good quality entertainment here. During the week, it may only be a solo artist but on the weekends, it's a full band. I'm not sure who we saw but the bar area was packed, people were dancing, the place was alive. We had a fantastic evening and chatted up a few folks while the band was on break. Funny enough, those people had left to eat elsewhere before returning to the bar. Let that be a lesson to you: drink here, eat elsewhere.

I love this place. I stop by every time I'm in town. The grouper sticks are fabulous. I love the decore. Just a cool place to hang out.

food is pretty good, but the real experience here is the great bands they always have. I had the chicken tacos good flavor except cold chicken. i'll be back

Gilligan is a fun, interesting place to grab a bite to eat and a beer. Good food, awesome people watching

You can sit on the deck and take in the sites of the village. The prices are decent and the music is fun!

We enjoyed a dinner hear one night with family. The food was pretty good...more chain food style but still tasty. We really liked the atmosphere of the place. The service was really good and it has a nice sized patio. It was very clean and parking was availed in the back.

Food was decent with a variety of options from seafood to nachos to burgers. Atmosphere was beach casual with indoor/outdoor seating. Enjoyed the music playing in the bar area, adding to the ambiance. Good happy hour drink prices. If staying close to Siesta Village, just a quick walk to and from dinner.
