Island Water Sports is a surf shop on Deerfield Beach, FL. They have many surfboards, skate boards, skim boards, snorkel mask and fins, kaiaks, paddle boards, and any other fun/sun/beach equipment and accessories. The realm of their service goes way beyond just their inventory too. They offer rentals, instruction, surf camp, competitions, events on the beach, and they're always in the mix, enjoying the toys they sell, so you can mix it up with them if you want. They all know what they're doing. They are true experts and VERY friendly. Not in typical fake 'Welcome to XYZ' fashion. They're truly cool people that work there. Surfers and skaters and divers themselves, and they will stand there and talk shop with you for as long as you like. Many people go here just to hang out. They always make you feel welcome. When you buy something it's like paying the bill after dinner at The Cheesecake Factory; it's not cheap, but you don't feel as if you didn't get what you paid for.Let's face it, if you buy a widget at Widget-Mart they scan it and drop it in a bag and say goodbye. If you shop at IWS, you leave there with expert instruction, continued support, excellent service, friendly, expert staff and the location is ideal. This is an EXCELLENT example of 'You Get What You Pay For'.Three thumbs up and 6 Gold Stars for THIS place!

I absolutely love island water sports. Very fairly priced and always a great time. I frequently rent paddle boards from them. I recommend to all tourists and locals!

Nicely located, friendly staff, awesome deals on sales. don't miss their sidewalk sales. They carry all the brand you would need and will do a local discount if u are a true local. Def check the out!

Living in Deerfield Bch, I can say i've been to this store hundreds of times and never once had a problem. The store is laid out nicely, employees are polite and respond in a timely manner. I'm sure anyone can find something inside the store. Go inside and check it out, only negative which isn't much is they get a little funny when it comes to parking as the night rolls around. Too many people try to park there for the Bru's Room across the street. Other than that, nice place!

We decided to walk over and check out the local surf and board shop. We were on a mission to find a long board for the oldest daughter. Not only found one for a great price, they put it together and changed up some parts to customize right in the store. The staff was friendly and even turned us on to surf lessons. They give them out on Saturday mornings for free and who doesn't like free? Would recommend highly if you're into water sports.

I bought a gift for my boyfriend and before I paid I asked if it could be returned and was told yes. Come to find out my gift was too small and when I went to return it a half hour later I was told since it had been used I couldn't return it at all. I was not told that initially and went home with a $150 product I couldn't use.

It's a very nice concept, just a little far from the beach. Many activities to enjoy while at the beach to choose from.

Went here a few times during a two night stay in Deerfield Beach. I can't say enough about how awesome it is there and the staff are incredible. It doesn't matter how great your inventory is. If you don't have great service it can't work. Island Water Sports has both. Very attentive with us and our three children. We were there for a fair amount of time and I never felt like we were annoying staff. We purchased a long board for our 12 year old son, helmets for our 13 and 10 year old daughters, protective gear for all three kids, had wheels replaced on another board and bought some clothing. I believe it was Bruce who helped us? Sorry if I have name wrong. I can edit it if I do. He did an amazing job. I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly he was.

We made a trip to Deerfield just for the Surf Camp. Counselors were knowledgeable and engaging. Hired a private instructor for lessons and he was amazing!! Shopped, shopped and shopped here! Huge selection of surf and skate gear along with trendy beach attire. Best place to visit in Deerfield!!
