Last day of my vacation, I discovered this gem in Treasure Island. As I was taking a walk in the lovely neighborhood, I came across this Cigar lounge,walked in and met Joel with a very welcoming smile, he assisted me in the Cigar room to choose few cigars, I mentioned that I like short mild cigars like Arturo Fuentes, he ran out of them but suggested others that were as good. The place is very elegant and very clean.We spent about 20 minutes inside the cigar room conversing about all kind of cigars and also about my home country "Egypt". Then, sat on the bar smoking one of the cigars with an espresso. Also met his wife Debbie, all three of us with another couple in the bar had interesting conversations for about an hour or so...They made me feel at home, relaxed and very friendly that I did not want to leave. I felt as if I have known them for years, I was very sad that I met them on my last day. I asked them if they ever think of coming to Egypt is to contact me and to consider me a family. Left with warm handshake and a promise to keep in touch until we meet again. This was last summer and did not have a chance to write my review, so I apologize for the delay. Joel is very knowledgeable, culture-oriented and do not let you be bored, Debbie on the other hand is energetic and attentive, both have great coordination and work gracefully with each other, what a couple God bless you both. I miss you both, wish you all the best.

A few years ago we went into The Cigar Republic and did not have a great experience with the bartender not knowing any thing about beer. While in Treasure Island the past 2 weeks we decided to give it another try. The first thing we noticed is how updated the bar area has become. The young lady behind the bar, Maria made us so comfortable. Not only did she know a lot about all the beers on tap but when we returned a few days later she remembered us by name and the type of beer we liked. We are not cigar smokers but we never bothered by the smoke from the others since it has the best ventilation system around. We went back a number of more times during our vacation and felt comfortable with all the locals that became our friends. We look forward to heading back to Florida in 6 months and will definitely head over to The Cigar Republic,

Cigar Republic is a favorite spot when my husband and I are in TI. It is very friendly and has a great atmosphere. A nice change from thatched-roof restaurants and bars with nothing but Jimmy Buffett playing. A classy place! I highly recommend it.

My brother and I checked out The Cigar Republic this past Saturday 10/01. Very glad we stopped in, this is a very nice and comfortable spot. We each enjoyed a Padron and several craft beers. Our server Michelle was super, very cool easy to talk to and made the evening that much better. They have several flat screens and play good music also. Will most certainly be a regular stop.
