Their website shows photos and videos of their so-called "water park" that has a trampoline and inflatables on a lake. These photos and video are totally fraudulent. They were taken at some other place. Wake Nation dug a hole in the ground, put some water in it, and they call it a water park. The trampoline doesn't bounce.....and I think that means its not a trampoline. The inflatables were totally slimy and disgusting. And the big pillow thing that you are supposed to jump onto to bounce someone else off of it doesn't work.....basically because they don't have the one end anchored properly to the bottom of the "pond/hole in the ground." Use your money to take your kids someplace clean and fun!!!
Great place for skiing, clean and very well maintained. Always a great place to meet other professionals in the boating industry.
anyone that wants to wakeboard should check this out, awesome features to ride on. very friendly staff, mgr. brian was exceptionally nice. very clean
Practice pond didnt help at all with the real thing. I had a terrible time. My mom said it might be fun because it looked like snowboarding and I'm a snowboarder and only to find it was very different. I hated waiting in a line for 30 minutes only to wipeout right at the beginning and have to get back in line just to try and not screw up at the beginning
Had checked out the website before going and decided this would be a great actvitiy. This was our first visit and we actually paid for a full day including equiptment rental for 3 teens while I was looking forward to watching from the observation area. They attached color braclets to the kids and helped them find their equiptment. Started off in the practice pond and worker Trey was very nice and helpful. Trey gave great advice and was really helped with useful tips. Moved to the main lake and things started to go down hill. Only 6 people can be on the main lake at one time and lines were very long ecspecially for newcomers. The line seem to split into two, those going off the ramp into the lake and those that were very experienced and could jump off a rail into the water. Those that could jump off the rail created a second line essentially cutting into line making others wait longer. I watched and would see those experinced riders cutting in line getting to ride twice, compared with the others that had to wait to ride just once, and at times certain workers (Danielle was one of those) would allow 4 of the more experienced riders that could jump off the rail ride before allowing even 1 rider who waited to use the ramp. I was wondering since they had turnstiles, why didn't they make everyone use them including the experienced riders and friends of the workers? We watched as teens would jump the fence with their own equiptment and get in line at the main lake even WITHOUT a bracelet they too were allowed to ride. Was planning to eat at the Snack Shack (seen on website) but had to leave to get lunch since kitchen was closed. Watch out for the teens that work there and their friends who have skateboards and ride them around the observation deck. They just leave them on the deck when they are not using them so someone could easily trip. Besides the skateboards left unattended, the place seemed clean. Other parents on the obeservaton deck and myself began discussing the line jumping and fence jumping. We concluded it would have been a much better outing, definately less frustrating, if every rider was treated the same way. The wait for the less experience riders ranged from anywhere between 30 - 45 minutes. Wake Nation DID NOT implement a lap limit for the experienced riders. If they used the turnstiles for EVERYONE and implemented a lap limit, I think this could be a great place to spend the day.
My son went to a week long wakeboarding camp and everything about this place is awesome. He is looking forward to doing this again.
We took our two teenage sons. What a great day to go. They have a "Free" day once a summer. A MUST TO DO!
if you like to wakeboard and are in the area, go to wakenation.fun and clean. take a lunch and spend the day
Had a HORRIBLE DAY at Wake Nation today. Practice pond was closed; cables on the main lake had issues all day. The employees let their 7 friend’s line jump and ride repetitively for 5 laps while the rest of us waited an average of 47 minutes between rides. We were issued a partial refund but it was still a wasted day. If you are friends with the employees you will have a great day, otherwise, avoid this place.
We are a ski boating, wave running, boarding, tubing and houseboating family--and have tons of experience in the water activity events--and whenever we want to take someone new out to enjoy the fun of these activities we start here. If they like this then we take them out for the real behind the boat experience.
We had my son's birthday party here and the kids enjoyed themselves.
A plus to the area fo Hamilton's Joyce park on the Hamilton-Fairfield City limits. Only been around for a few years but is a really nice attraction in the area and fun too.
I took my family to this place for my daughters16th birthday. We had a blast. We had never water ski before and let alone on a man made lake.We had hours of fun and we also went knee boarding too. The staff were all extremly polite and aiming to please. Wake nation is defintely a family fun water adventure for all ages in Fairfield/Hamilton.
Wake Nation is a truly awesome cable park. There are roughly 6 or 7 cable parks in the United States and I've been to 4 of them. Orlando Watersports Complex, McCormicks (Tampa), Texas Ski Ranch, and Wake Nation. Wake Nation is definitely my favorite. Their obstacles are high quality, facilities are very well maintained, and the folks that work and visit the park are extremely friendly and cool. The only negative thing I have to say about Wake Nation is that the lines have been extremely long on the days that I've visited. I guess that speaks to the quality of the park though. New beginner lake this summer should help spread folks out!
I visited Wake Nation this summer and it was awesome. I am fairly new to the sport and my kids and I had a blast. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is great for beginners. I would definitely recommend this place.
