If you like covered bridges come visit this one. Foot traffic only and easy to find. Located in Oxford Ohio
Interesting place right on the outskirts of Oxford. These were very common years ago, so it is nice to see one so well preserved.
big telephone pole right in the middle of my pictures, very beautiful there , very well maintain , best time to go would be Spring
This is just next to the Miami University campus and near the football stadium. The bridge is closed to automobiles but you can park and walk on the bridge. It is nicely restored and is a walk back into history.
Very close to town and to campus, the covered bridge is a neat glimpse of Ohio's past transportation memoribilia and very easy to get to. Definitely worth a stop when you are in town. Only takes 10 minutes to see it all!
If you like older covered bridges, this one is nice (particularly in spring when flowers are in bloom and river is running). You can even venture down under the bridge most of the year.
The covered bridge is one of the few remaining covered bridges in Ohio. Great place for taking photos.
We purchased food in town then stopped here, it is just outside town. Dead end street opposite 3-4 homes. Nice little park. The bridge is very long and you can go on it by foot but no windows to see out. Had lights in roof for evening. No port a potty so be prepared for a short visit.
This place was neat for a picture or two, but that was about it. Worth the quick stop to check it out. The stream is pretty!
This was my first covered wooden bridge. It was pretty cool and closed to cars. It is on a side road by the back entrance of the Miami Diad University athletic complex. Take the time too see it and walk across. If it has not been raining go across and on the right will be a trail that wil Allow you to walk down to the stream. It is nice to splash the water around. Not sure if you can swim there, but there were rocks that will allow you to cross to the other side of the stream. Bear in mind it is a trail so it was a little hard to walk down. No bathrooms.
