Cain Park has been around since the 1930s and is a great spot to spend a summer evening listening to music under the open sky. Just 5 minutes from the Cedar Lee area with great restaurants and bars. They also have a wonderful Art Festival every July.
We saw Classic Albums Live. I had never been to Cain Park before. What an amazing venue!! We sat under the pavilion on a beautiful summer evening. Convenient parking, a short walk, and just a great time! I would definitely return!
Came here to see Jim Brickman in concert with Ann Cochran and Tracy Silverman. They all put on a great show as usual. Good venue too where no seat is bad.
If you haven't found your way to Cain Park for a performance or art show, what are you waiting for? Nestled into a "natural bowl" in Cleveland Hts, this park/oasis has so many delights to offer neighbors and visitors. An outstanding tranquil setting for an evening show or an art show. The spacious grounds offer a covered pavilion with reserved seating or ample lawn space for a blanket or chair is a wonderful way to spend an evening sipping a beverage, watching a show and spending time with a special someone or group. The pace at Cain Park is relaxed. There is a covered concession area with tables and chairs for light dining before or during a show. You can pre-order a meal for most shows if desired. Parking is found in the surrounding neighborhoods. Arrival points vary and require some incline walking depending upon your entry. A courtesy shuttle also runs from the nearby, check with website. Get out and enjoy!
The concert was great. I believe what impressed me the most was how beautiful the place was. I am handicapped, so my aunt (who is only 8 years older than myself), made some phone calls to find out about shuttle rides and handicapped parking, got ahold of this very helpful, nice and kind lady named Erin, who not only gave us all the info we were looking for, but also arranged for us to be picked up by golf carts, once we got there, but to drop us off at the shuttle pick-up after the concert. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and a better lady (Erin) to make this a perfect night!!! So as far as concerts, go the city of Cleveland Hts. and Evans Amphitheater. It has my votes as one of the best concert venues in this area, and at 52 years old, concerts are one of my favorite past times, so I've been to several in my time.
Please plan a visit here...the architecture is beautiful...love the brick work and wooded park. We recently saw Judy Collins here we love both Judy Collins and venues Cain Park. You can park at Severance Center and take a free shuttle to and from Cain Park. Pick one of the many events here and enjoy beautiful ambience and an evening show.
People are amazed when I tell them of all the wonderful concerts held each year at Cain Park. Everyone from Jake Shimibukaru to Poco To Do Wop and everything in between. Great seating and pricing. Love the snack stand - reasonable prices too!
A longtime haven for jazz festivals in rundown Cleveland Heights. It's becoming less and less of a magnet for us. We don't like smarmy.
Went to see the Do Wops for the 3rd season. Excellent group who grew up in the neighborhood. Great MC in Norm N. Nite!
We just returned to our hotel from a Rhythmic Circus concert (!) and find the whole experience a highlight of our last minute stop over in Cleveland (heading back to NJ). This is an exceptional resource and would highly encourage everyone to look at the venues and get some tickets! Only criticism would be the service people at the snack stand...to grumpy, totally downer and completely unnecessary.
The amphitheater at Cain Park is tiny compared to nearby Blossom, but that's good. It's in an actual park (swings, sandboxes, etc.) right in a neighborhood. I would guess it holds maybe 5,000 people so there isn't a bad seat whether your in the seats or up on the lawn.Normally they don't have national acts, but we did get Sheryl Crow in one year.
I attend Blossom a few times every year and this reminds me of a minature Blossom only instead of grass, it is stone. The sound is great and I look forward to going back again.
Always an enjoyable time on a nice summer night. This place attracts some great acts.Check out the website for the concert schedule and then make plans to be there!Sure beats driving all the way out to Blossom.
