Beautiful inside and out...mostly sweet to semi-sweet wines, but Cuyahoga Valley Reserve is the red to try! Bring your own food...or buy theirs (limited selection) and bring a game to play!
A fabulous atmosphere, good food good wine make for a wonderful time. Love the evenings when they have music and really enjoy the wine festival.
During my last visit to Ohio this fall with friends and my boyfriend, we kind of just came across this vineyard! I absolutely loved it! We wondered in, were welcomed with a friendly smile, and decided to do a wine tasting. The wine was very good and the woman who helped us was amazing! I don't remember her name, but she was so friendly and helpful! Needless to say, we all ended up leaving with a bottle of wine. We sat down for a while and enjoyed a glass of our fav's, with a couple appetizers which were very good.I think what I loved most about this place was the general atmosphere. It was all log and stone, and all of the wood mixed with the wine and the sunny fall afternoon just felt so cozy, warm, and welcoming. It was casual and comfortable, yet felt very classy. I loved it, and honestly if I were to consider a little destination wedding (I'm not from Ohio), I'm not lying, I would consider this place. It's really beautiful.
My girlfriend is absolutely obsessed with Sarah's Vineyard, so naturally - visiting for her birthday was a must. We reserved one of the picnic tables near the front entrance for our party of 12. We were able to bring our own food and board games which was a huge bonus. You also have the option to skip bringing your own food and you can choose to order off of their in-house menu.Pros: Super chill but fun atmosphere. Outdoor setting w/ picnic tables in the front and patio seating in the rear. Everyone around us was having a great time which facilitated a positive experience for us, too. The unique ability to bring your own food and board games was awesome. Last but not least, the WINE was really good.Cons: Even in the Summer, Ohio weather can dip down quite a bit at night. I wish the front seating area had some kind of propane stand-up heaters that most bars/restaurants have. Also, the lighting in the front was extremely poor. I wish they would upgrade and install outdoor fire lamps or even those electronic candles and place them on the picnic tables themselves.Must-drink: The Pinot Grigio was phenomenal. (Owners) Please bottle this jesus-juice immediately so I can bring a few bottles back to Myrtle Beach, SC with me!Would definitely recommend as must-visit in the Cuyahoga Falls area for couples, families or friends celebrating any occasion - or none at all!
Went to the Summer Solstice Fest at Sarahs Vineyard. Such a lovely property! New gazebo/band shell with great acoustics and lots of space to sit and listen to some great local bands. Would have loved to try the fire baked pizzas I have heard so much about but they are only available 2 days a week.
Good selection of appetizers and excellent wine for reasonable price. The decor is casual, but people come dressed casual to upscale. Plenty of inside seating, plus a lot of outside seating in nicer weather. They will take reservations for large parties, which is handy. They allow outside food, and we brought in pizzas. Noticed a lot of parties with females, for birthday and bachelorette parties. We had a great time, and I recommend this, particularly if you are looking for mixed couples or a girls night out.
Sarah's has a great location and decent food but if you are not a regular their system for both food and wine can be a little confusing and they kind of act put out when you try to figure everything out. Otherwise their food is good. They could do a lot more with it. They have some excellent wines as well. I can't put my finger on it but it's just one of those places that you''ll like a lot but it has the potential to be so much more. Somehow they just miss the mark. You won't be disappointed but I've had a much better time at some of the other local wineries. It's just not very warm or welcoming.
The winery is an old barn, decorated with local artist items for sale, the wine is very drinkable:) and the atmosphere superb - especially on Wednesday nights when they have a musician give a free concert. You should consider making a reservation and get there early. The cheese plate is very average - in fact I wish they' d do some local artisan cheese instead. However, try their meatballs - yummy!
This winery is a very nice place to enjoy on the patio in summer, but also a pleasant stop on a cold wintery day. Art displayed for sale throughout the open floor-plan, plus their nice variety of wine and some casual appetizers /sandwiches created a warm diversion on a snowy Ohio evening.
Met another couple here for first time visit. Was surprised but happy with our meal, wine, and atmosphere. We split an appetizer and sandwiche, more then enough to eat for the two of us. Looking forward to a summer visit when the weather is a lot nicer.
nice place, nice property in summer , for a pick nick outside. enjoyed tasting the wine and viewing some local art work. The wine is so,so.the plus is, it's close by,did'nt have to drive far for a date .
The post & beam barn make the place. We always enjoy going here -- and love the fact it is so close too. Wine selection is pretty good, great place just to hang out with friends, relax, play cards or whatever. Their sandwiches and salads hit the spot. When they have wood fired pizzas, those are great as well. They can get crowded at times -- I guess it's the price of being a great place to stop in and visit.
The vineyard was very pretty, the post and beam building and artsy decor make for a wonderful atmosphere, however, the wine server spoiled it. She began by asking my friend and I to share the wine glasses, wine was poured from a tap, she then proceeded to use the same glasses to pour our selections in ( white wine was still in it, we chose red). The food turned out to be the best choice for choosing this winery.
My friend and I were very disappointed with the service. When the server asked us whether we wanted sweet or dry wine to taste she asked if we minded sharing? We were also surprised to see that the wines were on tap and not bottled. Then when we chose a wine she asked if we minded using the same glasses that we sampled in? There was still some white wine left in one and she just "tapped the red I had chosen to eat with my food into that glass. No class. Still hoping for the best we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and the atmosphere was very nice.
This is a great place to spend a relaxing day! The atmosphere is beautiful and can be enjoyed year-round. The venue is filled with artwork from local artists, the wine is incredible, and the food is very good too! You can bring in your own food and some games to spend an afternoon in great company.
