We got a $1/5 samples and ended up buying Victorian Lace. I personally would recommend First Love too - very pretty bottle. The wine selection was decent. Everything about the place was super cute with friendly staff who didn't hesitate to strike up a conversation even though we ended up staying past their closing time.

wine tastes are 5/$1 and you each will want your own 5. nice array of snacks to enjoy with the tasting and nice variety of cheeses to choose from. the gift shop is extensive and unique. plan more time than you think to sit at the tables and snack and taste and shop. we took home 6 bottles!

This quaint shop has many on site made cheeses for purchase. A special buy is normally available to sample. The shop also contains many many types of gifts & decorations for purchase. They are especially well known for their hand made curtians

I have purchased cheese from this manufacturer for more than 20 yrs; every product is excellent and well priced. Broad Run is probably the least expensive and best flavored of all the Ohio Cheese houses; the most friendly staff. This is a Mennonite establishment with a huge selection of cheeses, wines, lace and other gifts. This is a must visit, must purchase location - unlike other places they do not leave their samples out for people to breath on or touch - I hate the way people will finger the cheese samples and use the same toothpick they had in their mouth. I will not sample cheese that has been set out for hundreds of people to contaminate. At Broad Run the samples are fresh and cut in front of you for your fresh cheese enjoyment. Enjoy samples of wine, cheese spreads and cheese all in the same location. This is not an over crowded sample buffet like many other local cheese houses; this is a nice place with great people. I recommend purchasing in bulk for discount prices; cheese can be frozen for several months allowing for long term enjoyment for those who live several hours from Broad Run - I purchase cases of butter, mozzarella and freeze it - no problems with quality. This is the best place to visit by far.

I will never return, my boyfriend and I had a horrible experience. The staff was very unfriendly and acted as if we were bothering them with our questions. The place is very small and since they were busy there was no where to go. I suggest going across the street to the Breitenbach Winery. Their staff was amazing and their cheese and wine were great.

Many people travel to "Amish" country but most miss this rare jewel. Just 6 miles off the interstate, turn right at the signs. A beautiful, old style building where the finest cheese in the area is made. The best prices with the best flavor and SERVICE, above all others in the area. The other cheesehouses tend to be very impersonal and sometime downright rude - not here. I have shopped here for more than 20 years, they know me and my family and I know them and a little bit about their families. The Broad Run Cheesehouse is like an old fashioned town store or country market. High quality products, excellent staff, prices way better than other cheesehouses. great wine with excellent wine samples paired with their cheeses and spread made right in the facility and most right in front of you. Excellent recipes given out daily. For the best prices on everything - stop here first or last but stop at Broad Run. Beautiful lace, multiple interesting items to see, cheese, wine, snacks, jellies, blankets, wine accessories, etc. Lots to see. Bathrooms (clean) available, samples of cheese and wine, tour info avail., easy access, limited parking, sitting area. Top prices, top qualities, GREAT people. Blue ribbon quality products, winner of many cheese awards. Wine samples are 5/$1.00 fee at this time - is required by the state of Ohio - their fee is less than others. Cheese samples are free - all cheese can be sampled upon request - they DO NOT leave samples out for everyone to touch, cough on, or otherwise contaminate. They do leave a few samples at the wine tasting bar and a couple at the cheese counter in containers. Each sample is fresh cut.
