Dayton has been lacking a local brewery for years and this is the place for the locals. Still new and getting the word out has been slow. But give it a visit and try some of the Dayton local brews. I think you will find that the "Dayton" brewery can be a future competitor of other IPAs

Good locally brewed beer and fair prices. Pints, growlers and flights available. I seen a list of 6-10 different beers to chose from. No food but occasionally there is a food truck in the lot. Small interior (20 seats?) and small outdoor patio facing the parking lot. Open W-Sa 4-10pm

Hubby always has to check out any new brewery, so when in town visiting relatives, we headed south of town to check out this new brewery. It's next door to a strip mall and is attached to a United Dairy Farmers (UDF) Convenient Store. The outdoors is not attractive...half the windows are blocked so you can't see into the actual brewery area from outside. The place is very bare and has only a few hightop tables with stools. One TV on the wall, and bathrooms in the back. There is also a short bar facing into the brewery area. Nothing is visible except their taps which were plainly labeled. Menus are on whiteboards and hard to read. Current beers available are posted above the serving area. There is no food available, but they do allow you to bring in whatever you want. The barmaid ( if that's the proper term lol) told us on weekends they have food trucks that are very popular. There were about 8 beers available and flights of four were $5 and you were allowed to pick the 4 beers you wanted. Individual samples were $1.50 each. I asked for a water, they offered bottled or tap. I'm cheap so I asked for tap and got a glass with no ice. Apparently they don't have an ice machine. They also fill growlers and half growlers, and if you don't own one of theirs, they have a large sticker to put on your growler to be compliant with Ohio state law (which says they can only fill their store growlers or growlers specifically labeled to the beer being sold). Tshirts and pint glasses also available. Overall, the two people working were very pleasant and even recommended a good sushi restaurant down the street. Business was good and looks like they have a good following already, but we were told the owner intends to be more of a distributor than a brewery that sells on site, so I doubt any improvements will be made anytime soon. All in all, hubby enjoyed the beer, but I recommend only stopping for a growler fill and move on.

This is a small brewery located in a strip mall setting but they brew some awesome beers. I've been going there for a year now and their beer offerings just continue to get better. They are getting quite popular and they already have plans to expand to a larger location in the Dayton area. At this location there are probably only 5 tables with some more seating outside. They do not serve food but have the typical bar-top snacks. Wonderful place to meet friends for a drink. i like that you can order pints, a sampler of all the beers on tap or get a gallon growler to take home with you. Actually kid/child friendly too. I highly recommend stopping here if you are a craft beer fan. One of the very few true breweries in the Dayton area. Open 4-10pm, Wed-Sat.
