This is the fun place to taste wine and have a good laugh with the winemaker. The tasting room is not fancy but the wine is excellent.

Sometimes a visit to a winery is all uptight & if you aren't a total expert on wines then you feel a little put out. Not only is the environment relaxed the pour on the wines was generous and they had the cutest gifts. We had a great visit and left with multiple bottles and some other trinkets.

A visit here with my daughter. The owner is so funny. He will tell you stories which I am sure are true with a twist of fun. His wine is great. He explains about the grape growing process and his unique waxing over the corks. My daughter has been here several times. This is her favorite winery in the area and she is a local. I would definitely visit here again.

I went on a winery tour in April 2014 with a tour company out of Portland, Hub Tours. Of the three wineries we visited, Plum Hill was the standout. Nothing pretentious about the place, which was refreshing, and they have a flight of 10 wines which are, well, top flight! They were across the board delicious. The tasting room is cheerful and comfortable. You sit, not stand (thank you!) at a bar where the owner and his wife treat you like family, weaving in information about the wines and providing wafers and chocolate between wines, readying you for the next varietal. I bought a bottle of each of their 12 wines. I understand that they also have an outdoor seating area in the rear with a view of the valley, but it was chilly the day I went. I love a view as much as the next tourist, but didn't miss it that day because of the warmth of the hosts and the yumminess of the wines. They have one that was aged in a type of oak which imparts a vanilla flavor. Amazing! Hub tours was great as well. You let them know your favorite wines, and they pick three wineries to match. I will be taking their Hood River tour this summer. Nice way to go, they supply the designated driver, you relax and enjoy their guidance in a comfy van.

Great wine, fantastic people. Went with my good friend that I was visiting and met some of her friends, which, quickly became mine as well. So beautiful, so much fun!!!

Wow! What a great place. You will love the wine and the down to earth folks that run the tasting room. More of a neighborhood bar atmosphere at times. No charge to taste I'm sure because after you taste you will want to buy! They have social events regularly such as Friday night socials which I have not attended yet but after meeting the vintner I'm sure is entertaining.

Cindy was bubbly and knowledgable. The wines were varied, different and mostly enjoyable. We danced on the patio and enjoyed our stay with the Plum Hill folks. Highly recommend stopping by. We will do so again.
