farewell bend state recreation area

The cabin itself was fantastic. Nice setup with beautiful view on the water. Nice open area where picnic table and fire pit were setup, including a storage for firewood. Bathrooms were nearby. AC was in the unit which was nice on the hot day we were there. The water didn't look good to play in. There is no easy access from cabin down to water. Very clean, well-maintained park. This park wasn't interesting enough for me to WANT to go back, but served its purpose as a break in road trip.

Hot and buggy, nice view and access to the Snake River, some interesting historic sites.Full hookup sites, showers.

My wife and I were traveling through the area and rented one of the cabins in advance. The park is very well maintained and popular with visitors. The cabin was also clean and well kept, staff were friendly as well. The view from the cabin looked out on the river which was very nice, trains could be seen in the distance. Oregon State Parks has done it again with affordable quality recreational opportunities! If you want to stay in a cabin be sure to reserve in advance for stays over weekends and during the summer.
