Our visit to Delfino Vineyard was a real treat. We were very impressed that this fairly new vineyard was such a gem. The owners were very hospitable and gave us personal attention. We enjoyed the wine tasting and the wines are very much to our liking for everyday use.So much so that we purchased a mixed case and went happily on our way...This is a must stop on your Roseburg wine tour.
This is one of the first wineries in this area and in Oregon period. The wine keeps getting better. Umpqua Valley has a great wine tour. It is a nice drive.
We have visited Girardet before (2 years ago ) and stopped in again this last week. Very fun place one of the first winery's in the Roseburg area. The wine is very good and Cedar the tasting room mgr. is a very fun person , it's a ways out but worth the drive , we loved it again!Mike
Nice drive out to winery. The people are very nice and helpful. wine tasting is great and I walked out with some very tasty wine that keeps getting hijacked by others!
Very senic country setting, and of course excellent wines by grapes grown there. I am familiar with the wines, as I used to sell them when I owned a small sausage/wine shop in Leavenworth. New to me was their Baco Noir, which I had tried the previous night @ Pedotti's Italian in Sutherland. Even met the original ownerPhilippe Girardet, and was treated royally by Jade the sales/person. A great time and experience here, well worth the trip, which was fun!!
The best afternoons my wife and I have ever had at a winery, we were treated like family. The staff was very informative and helpful with any questions we had not to mention making it possible for us to meet "Franky", thanks CaraThe special thanks to owner and wine maker Marc Girardet for taking time out of his busy day to come up to the the tasting area to meet with us and talk wines. That said Girardet wines are fantastic and I can not say enough about their wines, you can not go wrong with any of them and their Baco Noir reserve is the best, trust me.
Check it out. Better than Booneville wines. Worth a side trip. Must be the soil. Great for taking to the beach
We used Girardet's wines for our son's wedding, and both the red and white were enjoyed by all. Good wines at a reasonable price!
So worth the stop, nice wines...try the ice wine (Frost) yummy!
It's a "tres charmant" & tres petit tasting room, and if Monsieur Phil is there, avec beret, you are sure to have an enchanting chat. He is bonkers over Baco Noir, a rather intense, fortress-like red wine, that requires some serious air and food. Try 2011 Pinot Gris for its nectarine and mandarin flavors and the '08 14 Vines for its fun spicy melange of all the estates varieties. 09 Barrel Select Pinot is smooth and gorgeous.
A small family run vineyard with intimate & simple tour with several wonderful bottles of wine. Their late harvest desert wines are amazing!
