We have used Raft the Rogue Raft Rentals three times now. Their rafts are in decent shape, but their water guns rarely all work. As the section of the Rogue that you raft is pretty tame, and hot in the summer, a lot of the fun comes from the water gun battles with other rafts. We have found that this company does not prepare in advance for your rental (forms are not pre-filled) and the sign in and set up process is very slow. This past July 4th it took them an hour from our arrival until we pulled out of the parking lot. Likewise, departure takes longer because you have to wait for a van, then to load the rafts on a trailer and haul everything back 1/2 mile to the office where your car is located. With better organization of the sign in process, this would be a good choice.Prices are competitive and reasonable. As they are farther from the take out area, they add freebies that other companies charge for... two water guns, a cooler and a dry bag.
Nothing to dislike here! Great fun in the sun with the water from the beautiful Rogue River to cool us off!
If you are looking for wild rapids, this will be tame for you. But it's a fun enjoyable 13.1 mi drift down the river with a few gentle rapids enough to get the kids excited. It's a large well-managed outfit with plenty of options. You can rent inflatable rafts for self-guided trips at very reasonable prices from $20 for a one person "tahiti to $60 for the smallest self-bailing raft (seats 2-4 adults) to $120 for a large raft that will seat 7-12 adults. There are also group rates available for a minimum of 24 people where they charge per person. Rentals come with land transportation to where they put you i and from where they pick you up, life jackets, a cooler and ice, dry bag, water gun. We took fishing gear and fished the 13.1 mi length between riffles and rapids. Reservations were trouble free and there is a deli and coin-op laundry on site too. You can have the raft for the whole day (though the trip without stopping takes about 3 1/2 hours).
We took our niece and nephew ages 7 &13 river rafting. It was just the right amount of activity and "splash" for the youngest, but a little slow for the teen. The trip was more of a float than rapids, but still worth it. Would highly recommend doing the trip as the river was very scenic and fun, but would not necessarily recommend this company. The staff was nice and friendly but obviously mismanaged and unorganized. When we made the reservation they told us to arrive early so as not to miss the departure time. They also sell sandwiches to take on the trip which we were also told to allow extra time for ordering. We arrived 30 minutes before departure, to find no one there. The check-in window didn't open until 5 minutes prior to the scheduled departure and by the time they took care of everybody waiting and "found a driver" to take us it was nearly an hour late to depart. Tip: If you buy your lunch from here (which was good & reasonably priced) bring some baggies to put it in, what they provide does not keep the sandwiches dry! There are also a couple of restaurants on the way down the river to stop at if you don't want to pack a lunch.
We rented a raft from them mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Friendly, helpful staff got us squared away with our gear including a cooler and ice at no additional charge. Sean drove us and the raft upriver to the drop-off below the spillway, providing lots of local information and tips on things to see on our travels north. Hot, sunny day and icy water river water were a perfect match, as we spent the next two and a half hours floating down the river, alternating between flat sections and fun class I & II rapids. Lots of other folks out rafting, fishing for salmon, or just sitting on the banks enjoying the day. We landed our raft at the park across the street from the rafting company, left it there for them to collect, checked out at the office, at went on our way.
