This little known part of Oregon is amazing for it's geology and locatiion. The most enjoyable activity is swimming in the enormous hot springs pool which borders the Little Deschutes River. The casino was originally in the resort lodge, but has now been moved to a location more easily accessible on the main highway between Portland and Bend. There are still a few slot gambling machines at the lodge, if you don't want to make the 12 mile drive to the main casino. The whole experience is a good way to break up Orgon's cold winter. In the Summer, horse back riding, hiking and golf are also availavle.

We recently stayed at the RV Park at Kah Nee Ta Resort and Spa for the July 4th weekend. The RV park is great. It has great spaces with lots of green space and full hookups including TV and WIFI. We enjoyed the pool but it was a very busy weekend and lots of people. We went early and then went to our RV and enjoyed the quiet time in the shade as it was very hot. There is no casino at the resort area. They moved the casino from the resort to a new building down in Warm Springs on Highway 97 a few years ago. I think this was not a good idea as the people that stay in the hotels and RV park at the resort don't have any gaming other than driving the 11 miles into Warm Springs which now many people don't come due to this. Since we are not big gamblers this doesn't matter to us. The resort does provide shuttles to the casino but only on Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm to 2am. This doesn't work for most people.Otherwise it is a great place to enjoy the high desert dry climate and the pool. I would recommend everyone try it at least once. We go back every year.

Visited the Kai-Nee-Ta Resort in June. This resort is located on an Indian res. Located about ten miles from a highway, near Warm Springs, Oregon. Traveled here for the casino, now located ten miles away in Warm Springs. The Resort is very modern and quiet. Located on a hill above a river. This is kind of a semi-desert area. There is a small rv area a quarter mile away, on the river. A restaurant, large pool and spa, located at resort. Rooms are only $140 to $130. Things to do: horseback riding, fishing, and hiking. Resort number is18662645744.

We went to Kah-Nee-Tah Resort as a family for my husband's birthday. The water park was really cool, although very over-crowded! It was still a lot of fun though! We were surprised that the water was so warm too! It was hot outside, and then stepping into luke-warm, bath-like water was surprising, we would have liked cooler water to cool down in. The slides were fun, there are 3 separate pools varying in depth, which was nice. We were disappointed because we wanted to take a kanoe trip, but our son is 4 and kids have to be 8. So we opted for riding horses instead, only to find out that they had decided to close that day. So we went up to the "casino" and "arcade" to play, and found a dinky little area where there were maybe 8 games for adults and 8 for kids.....NOT impressed AT ALL.So, we went and played mini golf and spent the rest of the day at the pool. On the way out, we stopped by the fish hatchery - which was closed as well. We were really looking forward to doing a lot of different activities and were VERY disappointed to find many things with restrictions and closures that were not provided on the website. Still good fun, but would have liked to participate in more....

In a small corner of the Café. Very few machines. Better to go to Warm Springs to the Indian Head Casino.

Not many games, layout isn't very nice, parking lot was cramped and it's smoking throughout the building. We drove out of our way to visit the casino and it was a huge let down. I also got carded 3 times within an hour, kind of disruptive!

I consider this attraction a one time stand to visit...It has a campground with its own tepees for rent (if you do not mind to be smelling like a smoke fish when you wake up in the morning) and a swimming pool with a very hot spring!!! Not much to do do or to see around this place except for the small flowing Deschutes river alongside (but beware of rattle snakes)...There is a casino uphill about a short free ride from the resort but it seems that we never win every time we play there...I had given this casino a chance once more but the result(lossing)is the same...I will never go back in this place again unless for "unavoidable circumstances"...The fees(entrance, towels, etc..) in these resorts are kind of expensive so think twice if you want to visit...It is a long and winding road going down from Highway 26 and plan(important) to leave this place before dark...

The main casino WAS located at Kah-Nee-Ta resort (KNT), but has since relocated to 12 miles south near the town of Warm Springs along Hwy 26. KNT does have a small 20+ slot machine operation located on the lower level of the lodge next to the pool tables, game room, bar, and snack bar. Also the physical area (landscape) that KNT is located is lovely, but KNT generally over charges for all items it sells.

We were looking for the nearest casino and resort. When I did the search on my phone it linked them together. We were desperate for a drink, a little gambling and good nights rest after driving for 11 hours. I called and reserved a room, $175 on a Tuesday night!!! Really? Ok, so we continued there, following the GPS. We were confused when we passed the casino, which appeared to be very small. We continued for about 10 more miles on a winding road through the sagebrush. When got to the resort and realized the casino was no longer there we were furious. I didn't even go in. I called and canceled my reservation and we went back to Madras and stayed at the Best Western. So I did not actually stay at this resort, but I felt it was very deceiving and a huge disappointment after the drive. When I go to a casino and resort I don't want to drive 10-15 miles to play the machines and then drive another 10-15 miles to get back to my room.

the casino is small, nothing special about it the food is priced ok, and the people are very... thanks for spending your hard earned money here, ha ha sucka

I've gone several times. I go with a budget and that I could lose my cash. No biggie. This place will suck you dry though. I understand the odds are in the houses favor but come on......you've got to give a dog a bone once in a while to keep the dog coming. I get more enjoyment at the local taverns with their machines. Of course that limits the type of games you can play but at least SOMETIMES you win. Kah Nee Ta....almost never!

This casino is at least ten miles from the lodge. Excellent food and service and a nice clean facility. Get directions from the lodge to avoid driving on a winding mountain 2 lane hi-way.

The slots favor the casino of course and they do not serve alcohol. The restaurant had wonderful frybread. It was expensive. The rooms are nice.

Been out here for a few times, and although everyone was very friendly it wasn't great. The area is pretty isolated and the condition was pretty rough.

Took a group of high school students for an overnight trip to "camp" in the teepees. I stayed in a hotel room with another chaperone. While the hotel room was great, very clean, well airconditioned, the camping lacked some amenities, particularly for the price. They really need picnic tables in the teepee area (not inside the teepees). It was extremely hot out an no one wanted to eat inside. There were supposedly barbecues available to use, we finally found them in a group gathering area that we were told we could use only if no one had reserved the area. The barbecues and the tables in that area were filthy. The price is somewhat spendy for camping ($70+ per night), I would expect a lot more at that price.
